Excellent tour itinerary for reasonable price - My partner and I recently enjoyed a fantastic 6-day journey from Auckland to Queenstown. We started with a smooth flight from Auckland to Christchurch, where we were warmly welcomed by our very kind private tour guide RV. Travelling by private car from Christchurch to Queenstown allowed us to explore at our own pace and appreciate the stunning landscapes. Our guide RV's knowledge and flexibility were invaluable, especially when some activities were canceled due to not meeting the minimum number of participants. For instance, when a helicopter tour was canceled, our guide RV quickly arranged a Glacier Explorer tour, which turned out to be equally exciting. Highlights of our trip included the turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo and the awe-inspiring scenery of Mount Cook. Reaching Queenstown, the adventure capital if New Zealand, was the perfect climax. We enjoyed thrilling jet boat rides on the Shotover River and a serene cruise on Milford Sound. We found the price reasonable because planning and coordinating this tour ourselves would have taken many days or weeks and added the stress of executing the entire trip. In Summary, our 6-day trip was unforgettable, thanks to the stunning landscapes and our outstanding guide RV. We highly recommend this itinerary for people seeking a blend of adventure and relaxation, with the added benefit of dedicated guide to ensure a seamless experience.

Trip to remember for life - We had an incredible experience with Waimate Journeys. After exploring the North Island last year, we wanted to explore the South Island. We booked flights to and from Auckland for a better deal and chose a private tour to relax and enjoy the journey. The entire trip was smooth and relaxing. Booking this tour was the perfect decision, especially since winter driving in a foreign country can be difficult and risky. Out guide expertly managed everything, ensuring our comfort at all times. He coordinated our transfers to and from Auckland perfectly. When my partner had a sore arm, our guide seamlessly adjusted our activities, offering alternative options. Everyday he provided bottled water and snacks that were very convenient during our hike, as we enjoyed them at Glacier Lake. It was unforgeable experience to eat at Glacier lake surrounded by breathtaking glaciers. Guide took beautiful photos, and spotted Kea birds, enhancing our adventures. He also shared interesting facts about the places we visited. The highlight for us were The Mt. Cook Hooker Valley Track, Te Anau Glowworm Cave and Milford Sound Cruise. I must say I didn't see any trip who offer Te Anau Glowworm Cave and Milford Sound Cruise in single trip but we were thrilled tp experience both in single trip with this Tour. In summary, this tour and guide exceeded our expectations with their planning, flexibility, and personal touches. I highly recommend this tour for a hassle-free and enriching travel experience in New Zealand

The best international guided tour experience! - Raghav was fantastic and meticulously planned our South Island experience! If you do not want to drive throughout South Island and prefer nature-focused experiences without camping, this is the tour for you. Raghav arranged our travel from Aukland to Christchurch and drove us to Queenstown. He scheduled our itinerary with such care and ensured we did not miss out on the major attractions. When inclement weather hindered our Akaroa Nature Cruise and our Stargazing experiences in Lake Tekapo and Queenstown, Raghav arranged backup experiences that were also enjoyable. Had I planned this trip, I would have missed out on various experiences. He arranged all hotel accommodations and provided alternative options in case the selected hotel was not to one’s preference. We were a party of 2 so we traveled in a very clean and roomy Toyota Prius that was vacuumed daily and replenished with daily snacks and water (very ideal since some NZ hotels charge for water). He is also an excellent photographer. He went above and beyond to take photos using the cutest Polaroid camera, which made the trip memorable. He even provided ponchos for rainy days and binoculars during sightseeing experiences. He is very patient and has such a peaceful demeanor. He is timely and clear with regard to communications. At departure he gifted us special momentos. I forgot to include that I booked with Waimate Journeys very last minute and yet the trip felt like it was planned for months! I travel globally and often utilize private travel experiences but I have to rank Waimate Journeys at the top of my list.
