Great Overview - These buses are perfect to get a great overview of the city highlights. Plus the 24hr validity is handy when exploring some of the stops.

Amazing Waterfront Auckland - People friendly with City Link bus to orient you to this harbour city. Picturesque heritage buildings such as the post office and central train station are well worth seeking out near the waterfront. Atrium on Takutai and the many restaurants in that area are varied and five⭐️. All the international designer boutiques and amazing local NZ designers are scattered through the waterfront areas.

Was not the best hop on... - Was not the best hop on off bus route I had been on. Only real stop to disembark is the war memorial museum.

Overview of Auckland - The bus includes many stops for interesting Auckland locations. We purchased the 24 tickets for the intention of seeing an overview of Auckland but also for transportation to the venues we wanted to visit. Unfortunately the bus does not arrive for 35- 45 minutes while making the loop so we had limited use for reaching the other locations we had intended to visit. If planning to use the bus, start early in the day to ensure seeing all you intend.

Never again - The actual tour on the bus was ok there was one stop where we had to wait over 45min but we kept ourselves amused however the management team for Auckland explorer is a joke, they couldn’t manage there way out of a paper bag two different people gave us different information and they couldn’t tell me the difference between two different priced tickets and you shouldn’t need to validate your tickets if you purchase online. If you do go on Auckland explorer go to google look up $45 tickets for hop on hop off bus the $65 tickets are for the exact same ride.

- This tour doesn't work. We bought the one-day, should pass every 20 minutes and in two stops we had to wait for more than 2 hours and in the end we had to call an Uber to get back to the hotel. It has no headset, so it doesn't tell the history of the sights. We did not make the whole tour because it did not pass in the scheduled hours, bad choice and very expensive! Do not buy!!!

Not recommended - The tour is advertised by the fact that the buses run every half hour. Unfortunately, that is not the case. We made the first stop at the Art Gallery and then had to wait about 50 minutes for the bus. After our next stop at Kelly Tarltons Aquarium we waited for over an hour. Other passengers sat at the stop even longer. Absolutely not recommended.
