Auckland Hop On Hop Off Excellence - We had an excellent experience in Auckland. We took the tour initially to reach the Auckland Zoo, and then rejoined after to take the complete tour. The bus driver on the Blue Line 1 December, 2024 was fantastic and made our trip memorable.

Great introduction to Auckland - Views of Auckland City were great from Mt Eden. Great way to get an introduction to Auckland when only here for a short stay.

Great - An extremely busy day with the Christmas Parade & may street closures however the circuit was skilfully completed by all the drivers we encountered. A great way to see a City in a short time frame,

Best Hop on Hop off bus ever - 2 day ticket was great value, buses were immaculately clean and on time, drivers were considerate and waited till all customers were seated so the ride was smooth, the places the bus stopped were at all the best venues, also it was great that the commentary was over the loudspeaker and not those plastic earphones which end up in landfill

Great Overview of Auckland - I do hop-on hop-off tours where ever I can find them as they are a great way to get introduced to a city. This tour was no exception. Great way to see and learn about Auckland.

Heartwarming Experience - Stopping off at the Museum was amazing. I saw a Moari dance that was so heartwarming and very memorable. Then I had a look around the museum, it was fantastic seeing all the carvings etc.

Too easy - We purchased a 2 day ticket and thought being able to see most of Auckland’s sites simply was really convenient. The choice is yours to see as much or as little as you want. We took the opportunity to have a rest by staying on the bus at times and just driving around. On the whole the commentary is informative albeit not always clear.

Auckland is beautiful, but without cruise ships - The places the bus took were all really good. The recorded tour commentary was also good but sometimes it would stop and when it came back on it would not continue on the same subject and would start on new a new commentary. Because some people’s conversations we missed a lot of the commentary. My wife and I noticed that because of many passengers from a cruise ship were in the city, the wait to get on a bus again was so long that we just got off once.

Explorer Bus Auckland - Comfortable bus, friendly drivers and good audio commentary. However there were not enough buses to efficiently manage demand, especially on a day with a large cruise ship in port.
