Ask for Debbie to be your guide and experience Auckland - We loved having Debbie take us all over the Central Business District on our first day in New Zealand. We walked all over the city, she took us to a local grocery store to show us local foods people buy, along with tea at Hotel DeBrett. She is a great guide.

Wonderful tour! - Guide Anna was fantastic in both her knowledge of Auckland and her friendly demeanour. It was apparent that Anna loves giving these tours as she was very engaging and happy to answer any questions thrown at her.
It was a well organized tour and I highly recommend seeking out Aucky Walky tours if you are visiting Auckland. In fact make sure you do this tour at the start of your visit as Anna provided a lot of useful information that will help you better enjoy your time in Auckland.

A lovely tour! - A great intro to Aukland! Try and get this tour near the beginning of your stay in Aukland. We could not get an opening (it's very popular) until the end of our stay but still worth it. It's nice to get away from the hustle and bustle in the touristy areas and see where the locals eat and shop. I highly recommend Walky Auky!

5 Star Walking Tour - We had a really wonderful morning exploring Auckland with a true local. Liz our guide was warm, welcoming, informative and interesting. She had all the inside knowledge of a true native and took us to places we would never have known to stop and look at. Art, culture, history…it was all there plus some truly lovely bonus touches with treats!
She’s a lovely lady and we enjoyed our morning in her company and took away a raft of information as well as a positive experience of Auckland. A great ambassador for her city! Don’t hesitate to book this tour. Highly recommend.

See Auckland with a local - Alex and Anna were fabulous guides and took us on a comprehensive journey around inner city Auckland for three hours. They showed us many sights and explained the history and significance of many natural, cultural and man made features of the city. The chocolate shop was a highlight. The tour is not too hard, even though you do walk a fair way. The frequent stops help with pacing.

Loved our visit. - A beautiful day out and about in Auckland. Our guide Joe was a local and was fun and engaging! Learned a lot about the Māori culture and history of the city. Really enjoyed it.

Absolutely brilliant - Thoroughly enjoyed this three hour walking tour on our first morning in Auckland , just 4 of us in total plus our guide Debbie. Really gave us a great orientation to the city, not to mention loads of recommendations of what to do and see, where to eat etc. there is nothing like local knowledge! Loved learning more about Auckland‘s history too, plus was fun to be taken around a deli and have some great local produce highlighted (Whittakers chocolate a definite winner!)
Today we hopped on a ferry to Devonport on the north shore and climbed up a hill for some fabulous city views; something that we simply wouldn‘t have thought to do without Debbie‘s enthisiastic recommendation. Had an amazing lunch at Kingi yesterday, and have booked The Shed on Waiheke for lunch tomorrow, again reccs from Debbie.
Guidebooks are great, but local knowledge can’t be beaten.
Everyone should do an aucky Walky tour on their first day here; highly recommended.
