• Waikato - Leaving Auckland, travel south through the picturesque Waikato countryside, the world’s largest farming region, offering beautiful landscapes, majestic rivers, excellent photo opportunities, impressive mountains, and various farm animals along the route.
• Coromandel Peninsula - Upon entering the Coromandel Peninsula, discover its pristine beauty. Known as a popular holiday destination for locals, this area boasts stunning white sand beaches, vast native forests, and unparalleled views of the Pacific Ocean coastline. There will be multiple stops for short walks to viewpoints and perfect photo spots during the journey through this breathtaking area, en route to the first feature destination.
• Hot Water Beach - The next stop is the famous Hot Water Beach. Here, dig a hole in the sand to create a naturally-heated geothermal water bath. Tip: Dig your hole at the beach’s edge to let ocean waves gently roll in and cool you off occasionally. What could be better than a natural geothermal spa on the beach!

The sequence of activities between Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach may vary based on tide times to ensure the best experience at each location.

• Cathedral Cove Walk - Visit Cathedral Cove, one of New Zealand’s most iconic natural landmarks. The walk to Cathedral Cove takes between 30 - 45 minutes, but the reward is well worth it—stunning coastal views and the chance to explore this breathtaking beach. Alternatively, choose a boat tour (additional cost) to experience Cathedral Cove and other hidden gems from the water, offering incredible views and a more relaxed journey. Access to Cathedral Cove is weather-dependent. For safety reasons, the track may be unsuitable after or during heavy rain. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be made to ensure an incredible experience.
• Auckland - Unfortunately, after this day in paradise, it’s time to head north again, but the day isn’t over with a fully guided return trip to Auckland, including secret stops along the way.

• At Hot Water Beach, digging for your personal geothermal spa may not always be possible if the tide does not permit.
• Not recommended for travelers with severe mobility difficulties, a large amount of walking over uneven surfaces is involved.
