Volcanic overview of Auckland area - This tour offered a view of Devenport and the surrounding volcanoes that was quite unique. We got to visualize the history and see first hand the remains if the eruptions. Mike did a very good job of sharing a wealth of information and did it in a very personable way. I would highly recommend this tour as a different way of looking at the Auckland harbor area.

A do not miss tour. - Mike was very knowledgeable. He cared about the safety of his group. Encouraged us all to get the most from the experience by making sure we knew where the best spots were. Very friendly and informative adding to our understanding of the volcanoes that formed Auckland, and the potential for eruption even today. Also appreciated his knowledge of the local environment.

This is was absolutely... - This is was absolutely amazing. Mike is very knowledgeable and gives an excellent tour! The one-on-one time really enhances the tour. He is very engaging. Heads up, wear hiking type shoes lol. Also, spend time on Devonport and take the ferry back to downtown if that is where you are staying.

Superior option to cruise line group tours - This was an outstanding tour that exceeded my expectations. Starting with pick-up at the cruise terminal, everything went smoothly. Harriet and Michael make a great team, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The views were spectacular, and Michael shared so much information about the volcanos, the formation of the area and the history of the area. We especially enjoyed the visit to the tunnels, and, of course, the stop for ice cream! We’ve done so many group tours thru the cruise lines, and found this small group option to be superior in terms of cost and quality. Book with Voltours and Michael! You won’t be disappointed.

This was great,... - This was great, informative tour. The sights were beautiful, and Mike was super knowledgeable. I wouldn’t recommend this tour for anyone who has mobility issues since you’re definitely walking across uneven lava surfaces, but we would absolutely do this tour again.

Excellent afternoon excursion around Auckland with a great guide - The walk along the volcanic coast and the trip to the disappearing cannon. The guide is a great storyteller. Would have liked to have him on other trips around New Zealand too. We were in a comfortable car with two other visitors. It was drizzling off and on, but it did not get in our way.

Facts of New Zealand - We went to many scenic areas. Our guide was very knowledgeable about volcanoes in New Zealand and told us many facts. We had a group of 3, so everyone got a lot of attention.
