- Hobbiton Movie Set - Arriving at ‘Hobbiton’ you will board one of the big green Hobbiton buses for a two & a half hour fully guided tour of this amazing 12 acre movie set with a professional Hobbiton guide to ensure you get the most out of your visit. During your tour step into the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, see amazing gardens, hear the secrets and stories about the making of the movies, and enjoy a cold complimentary beverage at the famous Hobbiton pub ‘The Green Dragon Inn’.
- Auckland - Sadly we must start to head north again but your day is not over with a fully guided return trip to Auckland including surprise stops. Depending on weather and timing our guides love doing other surprise stops. Maybe a scenic stop near a lake or the chance to try New Zealand ice creams, we love introducing you to local wildlife and animals. You will have to jump on the tour to see where you go!

Excellent experience - We had a very safe and enjoyable trip. Our driver/ historian , Don was exceptional with his introduction to island!’s history , culture, music made the journey fun. He was kind and accommodating as we showed up a day early for the tour ( sorry jet lag). Thank you for an exceptional service.

Great tour to Hobbiton - After another provider cancelled at the last minute I was able to get onboard the Cheeky Kiwi day tour of Hobbiton (from Auckland). Our guide, Grant, was fantastic and full of useful information along the way and included a few tips to get the most out of the tour around Hobbiton. I will definitely look to use Cheeky Kiwi on my next trip to NZ.

Hobbiton - We really enjoyed our trip to Hobbiton !! The driver was great and very informative. We had an appropriate amount of rest breaks. It was an all around pleasant trip and we got some great pics !!

Hobbiton trip was great with Simon. - Heeey,❤️
This was amazing day and have Simon as our leader it made it easy to understand everything through our way from Auckland to Hamilton Village. He was very friendly, informative and accommodating also offering to take pictures of us so that we can have memories. This was so great and I am telling my friends to tell their friends and their friends to tell their friends to book Cheeky Kiwi tour if they wanna have amazing Experiences and everlasting memories. This is the tour group to pick for Hobbiton. - I am so glad I picked the Cheeky Kiwi tour. The small tour size really enhanced the experience. Our guide Grant was knowledgeable and friendly. We got an equally small tour size once at Hobbiton. I recommend wholeheartedly. This was the highlight of my small stay in Auckland.

Fantastic Day Out - First let me say a big thank you to Mark our driver, host and in-travel entertainer. He made the journey most pleasurable for us all. The Hobbiton Movie set tour was a memorable experience. The movie set guides were friendly and knowledgeable and the end of the tour was capped by drinks in the Green Dragon Inn. The whole family enjoyed the day and would recommend this day out with Cheeky Kiwi Travel.

Great trip, would recommend - Alicia was an excellent and informative tour guide. She took out only two of us, so it was like a personal tour. I also appreciated the USB ports in the van to charge my phone and being able to watch the LOTR movies on the way to/from Hobbiton. We returned promptly with plenty of time to spare. Don’t forget to tip!

It is a travel destination worth visiting at least once. - The filming location wasn't as big as I thought. It was nice to look around briefly, and it took a long time to listen to the explanation. There are separate vehicle guides and field guides. Everything is conducted in English. You have to get off at Auckland, but I got off at Sebel Hotel due to the flight time. Thank you to the car guide who helped us get off. I think it's worth a visit at least once.

Honeymoon Visit to hobbiton - Our bus driver was from the UK (her was Julie, I think). She provided excellent commentary on random information about New Zealand (ex. Silage, baby lambs, volcanic ash to farm land), and she gave us great hot tips in preparation for the tour. The snacks and New Zealand key chain were a nice touch. While the 6am pick-up time wasn’t ideal, it was great being the first people onto the Hobbiton set.
