This is a must see when... - This is a must see when visiting Auckland. For the Lord of the rings fans and non fans a fantastic attraction. Wear your walking shoes as you journey through hobbiton on an adventure. Stop for lunch and an ale at the green dragon Inn and enjoy the surrounds. Then enjoy the comfortable bus ride back to Auckland.

Rachel our driver made... - Rachel our driver made the 2 hour coach ride from sky city to the hobbiton movie set very entertaining, they were very experienced in the history of NZ and we learnt so much along the way. Hobbiton itself is so amazing! Our guide knew everything there was to know about it, I would highly recommend if you are travelling to NZ you book this tour in.

I appreciate the... - I appreciate the timeliness of the trip - bus left the terminal on time and arrived on time as well. David, our bus driver, was amazing! Filled us in with a lot of details about NZ and the places that we saw along the way. Our guide in Hobbiton was energetic and was a good storyteller as well. Lunch was awesome! Loved the whole experience (including the ginger ale!), my mind was remembering scenes from the movie as we went through the Shire; my inner child was so happy!

Fantastic day out. - Excellent tour, even if you are not a fan of lord of the rings. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and give you plenty of photo opportunities.

Excellent Tour - The bus ride was 2 hours each way, but the bus driver was trying to feed us all the information about Auckland and the tour before we arrived. There was another tour guide from Hobbiton to go on the bus when we arrived. The buffet lunch on site was a big plus after the tour.

Phenomenal - It was an awesome experience. Our busdriver David was awesome and sometimes sarcastic. Our guide in Hobbiton 'HERO' was our hero for that morning tour. Very patient and knowledgeable. The beer was a treat and the food was exceptional!

Great trip from Auckland - recommended for hobbit fan or not - Fantastic day trip from Auckland- defo recommend to anyone! Exceeded expectations from Bruce the bus driver who was fantastic to the guide throughout the tour Linden. Really informative & stunning location. Lunch buffet was 5* - defo recommend booking this option.

Truly magical experience - Outstanding end-to-end experience! Our coach driver, David, was fantastic. Great manner, sense of humor, and confidence. We felt we were in great hands every step of the way. Once we got to Hobbiton, the onsite offering—gift shop, café, etc—were exceptional, and the tour itself was one of the finest experiences ever. My wife and I are still a bit starry-eyed at how beautiful and moving it was to actually step into Middle-Earth and the Shire for a few hours. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I highly recommend using Viator as your operator.

A visit to Hobbiton with lunch included. - Very informative. Great experience but would like to have had more time there, in the hobbit hole, shop and cafe. Seemed a bit rushed. Lunch was delicious!
