- Hobbiton Movie Set - Upon arriving at ‘Hobbiton,’ you’ll board one of the iconic green Hobbiton buses for a two-and-a-half-hour fully guided tour of this incredible 12-acre movie set. A professional Hobbiton guide will ensure you make the most of your visit. During the tour, you’ll step into the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, see beautiful gardens, hear behind-the-scenes stories about the making of the movies, and enjoy a complimentary cold beverage at the famous Hobbiton pub, ‘The Green Dragon Inn.’
- Auckland - Unfortunately, we must head back north, but your day isn’t over yet. Enjoy a fully guided return trip to Auckland with surprise stops along the way. Depending on the weather and timing, our guides love making additional surprise stops. Perhaps a scenic stop near a lake or a chance to try New Zealand ice cream—we love introducing you to local wildlife and animals. You’ll have to join the tour to see where we go!

This tour is led by our famously passionate tour guides, notorious for bringing your journey to life by sharing their stories and rich background knowledge, and run in modern, comfortable minibusses packed with extras ensuring your comfort and safety.
- If you are visiting off a cruise ship, please be aware we cannot guarantee to be back in time for a 6:30 PM cruise departure

It's not a movie set. It's a functioning village where you're a giant. - It was better than we could have imagined. Our guide gave us plenty of history on the drive, with some classic kiwi tunes.

Greg the amazing kiwi - The trip overall was amazing and hobbiton just like the movies doesn't disappoint. The best part of the day was definitely our guide GREG. This man was so awesome and nice he deserves a raise. Count yourself lucky if you get him!

Relived the movie! - We chose this tour because we had very little time in NZ and our plane arrived at 1am. Too tired to get up very early but still wanted to make the most of our little time. This tour fit perfectly because it starts at 10am.
The tour basically provides transportation to the movie set, comfortable bus, basic needs like water bottles. John, our tour guide, was very helpful. He went the extra mile to help us move our meeting point for the next day tour with Cheeky Kiwi. Once in Hobbiton the tour is the same for everybody no matter who your tour is booked with.

Great time connecting with my inner hobbit - Grant was a superb guide. He was kind, considerate, friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took a group of strangers and built a sense of camaraderie amongst them.
The tour of hobbiton itself was nothing short of magic. Even on a rainy and dreary day, it was beyond any and all expectations.
My original tour was supposed to include rotorua, but in the off-season, did not have enough people booked. Cheeky Kiwi contacted me very early to let me know, offered any and all options, and refunded the difference for the hobbiton only tour. The communication and support were above and beyond expectations.
10/10 would recommend!!
