- Auckland Central - Your tour begins in New Zealand’s largest city. As we leave the city, your guide will set the stage for today’s adventure and highlight some of the city’s top attractions.
- Waikato Region - Travel through the breathtaking Waikato countryside, the world’s largest farming area, on a fully guided journey to your next destination. Along the way, you’ll encounter stunning landscapes, mighty rivers, great photo opportunities, beautiful mountains, and various farm animals.
- Hobbiton Movie Set - Hop on one of the big green Hobbiton buses for a two-and-a-half-hour fully guided tour of this incredible 12-acre movie set. A professional Hobbiton guide will ensure you get the most out of your visit. During the tour, you’ll explore the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, see amazing gardens, hear behind-the-scenes stories about the making of the movies, and enjoy a cold beverage at the famous Hobbiton pub, The Green Dragon Inn.
- Tirau - Known as the ‘Corrugated Capital of the World’ for its unique Corrugated Iron sculptures and buildings, this town always gets a look and a laugh. Our guides will point out all the main highlights as we pass through.
- Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland - Enjoy a fully guided tour of Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland. Considered one of the most surreal places on earth, you’ll see the famous Champagne Lake, Devil’s Bath, local mud pools, geothermal craters, and other geothermal wonders. The vibrant colors and activity will leave you in awe.
- Rotorua - To conclude our Rotorua experience, we’ll take a guided driving tour to see the city’s most famous sites, including Lake Rotorua, Rotorua Museum, Government Gardens, Whangapipiro (Rachel Spring), and the Blue Baths. If time permits, we may visit a special souvenir shop for discounted shopping and to sample Manuka Honey.
- Auckland - Unfortunately, we must head north again, but your day isn’t over yet. Enjoy a fully guided return trip to Auckland with secret stops along the way.

Brilliant Experience - Fantastic tour! Great way to see the sights from Auckland very comfortably. The locations we visited were really good, Wai-O-Tapu is such a unique experience and Hobbiton exceeded expectations. Greg our tour guide was brilliant, such an amazing person very knowledgeable and passionate couldn’t have asked for a better guide, he made the experience so memorable. Highly recommend this tour!

Brilliant Day Trip - This was a fantastic day trip, one of the best I've been on. Our guide, Greg, was so friendly and really made everyone on the tour feel relaxed and in good spirits with his humour and sociable nature. It was very enjoyable and I would definitely recommend booking if you're in Auckland.

Great experience despite the rain! - Really enjoyed our tour to Hobbiton and the geothermal park. The Rotorua part was cut short due to the rain,but that didn't worry us too much. Our tour guide John was knowledgeable and funny. Thanks for a great day. Everything was organised and went smoothly, other than an unexpected flat tyre,but John was able to get that fixed in Matamata quickly and continued like the pro he is!
It's great that it was a small group,which made it more personal.

North Island must-do - So worth it! Definitely the highlight of my 3-week visit. Hanoz was witty and engaging. Spacious mini bus with a cool bunch of tour groupmates. :)

An Incredible Experience - We are a family of three and are first time visitors to NZ. We are glad that we chose Hobbiton and Roturua Full Day Trip. It was an amazing experience. Highly recommended for both young and old.
Our day started at Hobbiton. It was really a majestic experience. Our guide Greg from Cheeky Kiwi ensured that we arrived safe in our destination despite the foggy and icy start of the morning.
Hobbiton was fantastic! It made us feel that we were experiencing a real not reel life adventure. The Hobbit holes were awesome!They even allowed us in one and interactively experience the magnificent interior. Oh wow, what a happy moment. We dont want to leave. Thank you for this moment.
Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland in Roturua on the other hand was an incredible experience with nature’s wonder. Such a big landscape to explore. What a great day to remember.
Again thank you for our host and driver Greg for the safe ride to these wonderful places. Thank you too for the incredible stories and acapella. Your guests really enjoyed them.

Wonderful day! - The trip was exactly as described! Our tour operator and bus driver, Grant, was extremely informative, positive genuinely loves New Zealand. We even got a chance to visit a few additional mud baths given we were a smaller group. I will say, lunch was difficult to come by as they only provided us with a few snacks. We got to the site of the hot springs which had a cafe and there wasn’t much of a selection. I’d suggest to pack snacks.

A fun though long day that was well-managed and interesting. - A well organized trip - was amazing to get to go to Hobbiton and was great to see the geothermal pools. Just a heads up that it is a long day with an early start and a lot of driving, but well managed by the company with plenty of breaks and extra information.
