Excellent experience - Great full day trip. Hobbiton was interesting. Buffet lunch was very good. People were kind and knowledgeable. We then went to the gloworm caves. Absolutely beautiful. The best part of the day was our driver, Damian. He was knowledgeable, informative and entertaining. He filled the hours on the road with information about the country, the region, the sites we were visiting and more. He really made the trip for us.

Such a great day at the Hobbiton, lunch, and glow worm caves!! - What an amazing day!! Wayne was our outstanding tour guide who made the trip so fun!! The Hobbiton set was amazing!! All the details and stories of the movie making were so fun to see and hear! It far surpassed my expectations! Lunch was amazing! The glow worm cave was so cool! We loved the experience! I highly recommend this one!!

Magical Journey to Hobbiton and Waitomo Glow-Worm Caves: A Must-Do Tour with Top-Notch Guides! - If you’re planning this 'Small-Group Hobbiton and Waitomo Day Tour with Lunch' from Auckland, here’s my take: It’s definitely worth the hype! ❤️ I went with Bush and Beach, and everything was spot on—prompt email communication and a super convenient pick-up from near my hotel in Auckland CBD. Kelly, our guide and driver, was incredible, sharing fascinating stories and facts about the North Island and New Zealand throughout the trip. Hobbiton Movie Set was truly magical, like stepping into a dream in the movie set. Every detail was perfect. We had alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at the Green Dragon Inn, had a nice big, buffet lunch (eat all you can!) in a beautifully themed marquee added a special touch. It's worth it! After a large lunch, I found myself battling heavy eyelids, the drowsiness creeping in as we journeyed through the countryside. I wanted so badly to stay awake to take in the scenic views of the rolling hills and sprawling farms. Along the way, we passed a few quaint settlements, adding to the charm of the landscape. Despite my sleepy struggle, I stayed awake for the next part of the adventure—Waitomo Caves. The glowworm experience there was nothing short of mesmerising, a magical sight that made the effort well worth it. We boarded a boat and drifted silently through the cave, with thousands of glowworms lighting up the ceiling. You can’t take photos inside, but you can snap some at the cave’s entrance. The ride itself was very comfortable—the van was spacious and smooth, making the long drive enjoyable. Huge thanks to Kelly for a job well done! The small group size made it feel personal, and the entire experience was well-organised and relaxing. Highly recommend this tour if you want a hassle-free and unforgettable adventure! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Tour well worth it - Excellent tour. Hobbiton was amazing and a must see. The included lunch was delicious and all you can eat. The glow worm caves were interesting and a different experience than hobbiton but yet still amazing natural wonder. Our driver Wayne was amazing. Lots of good stories and was very entertaining that made the drive between locations fly by. Get ready for a fun but long day

Hobbits and Glow Worms - Michelle and Melvin made our tour very enjoyable. We learned a lot about the history of New Zealand and were very knowledgeable and answered many questions. Lunch at the Green Dragon was very good and the glow worms were amazing!

Great day out in NZ - A great day out in Aukland. We had Jason and Damion as drivers, and they were both friendly and helpful as well as telling all about the places we visited and the country in general. The bus was very comfortable and the small group format was great. Highly recommend. Worth noting it is a long day :)

Best Tour in the World - Milton knew a lot. On the drive over, he was pointing out animals and wildlife, giving stories and telling history along the way. It was probably one of the best tours I’ve down through out all of the world. Well worth it, and enjoyed every bit of it.

A magical day - The Hobbiton + glow worm cave tour was fantastic. Our driver and guide, Damion, entertained us with movie-making stories, historical facts, and interesting landmarks along the journey. The small group size meant we bonded over the course the day, forming a fellowship of our own. Hobbiton itself was magical and the glow worms were fascinating. Definitely a day well spent!

Amazing day out! - Damien went out of his way to learn everyone’s names and chat with them, as well as having fun commentary during the (admittedly long) drive between Auckland, Hobbiton, the Waitomo Worm Caves and back. Would 100% recommend Bush and Beach for tours!
