Grandios, super Price-performance ratio - Great, everything was perfect. We booked the excursion directly for the day of our arrival so as not to succumb to jet lag. That was a great idea. Due to the weather conditions, our guide Daniel suggested to go to Browns Island Motukorea. That was exactly right. The barbecue was delicious and Daniel told us a lot about the surrounding islands during a short hike. It was informative and funny and up on the summit in the deep grass we had the best brownies ever. @Daniel: thank you for the great trip. We would be happy if you send us the promised pictures by email!

Great tour and tour operator (Ben) - One of the best, probably the best, tours and tour operators in my 30 years travel experience. The tour itself is a great concept, combining the kayaking experiences with the volcano island walk. It may threaten to take many out of their comfort zone but with Ben guiding us everything was very smooth. Our group had a range of experience and physical capability. Ben quickly learnt not just everyone’s name but also how to best help them feel comfortable and enjoy the experience. He was very well organised and was a great communicator. Overall great fun and great sense of achievement from it.

Amazing sunset kayak tour - a must do! - The sunset kayak tour was an amazing experience. From the start our tour guide Ben made sure everything was well prepared. The trip to the island was smooth and on arrival, we had a delicious BBQ dinner, followed by an assent to the summit. Throughout the tour Ben made sure the experience was enjoyable. The kayak back was rewarding, it’s not everyday you see the lights of Auckland city from a kayak on the ocean at night. Definitely a tour to do!

Challenging but worth it! - Ben was our tour guide and he was incredible. He guided us perfectly through the kayaking. It was my first time in open water and he made sure we were safe and felt comfortable. Once on the island, we started the hike to the top. The hike was challenging, but Ben was so encouraging and made sure the group stayed together. The sunset from the top was so worth the hike. Overall, this was an incredible experience. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting an adventure!

Exhausting but worth it! - Super amazing trip! I did the sunset Rangitoto kayak tour and had a blast!! The kayak over was beautiful. The trip up to the summit was quite tiring but the views at the top were totally worth it. Ben was a wonderful guide, always keeping the energy levels up!

Super fun! - We had a great time! Ben was our guide and he was totally on top of everything ! He was so full of energy and cooked a great meal for us! Tip: be sure to pack an entire change of clothes (pants and shirt) because all will get very wet and if you’re doing the night time kayak back, you will be cold when you reach the shore! Great fun and adventure!

Top Notch experience - Weather (winds) didn't cooperate for our paddle to Rangitoto, so Daniel went out of his way to offer us an alternative to get us out on the water. Instead of cancelling (he offered), I elected to brave the seas, and had a picturesque tour of the coastline, tackled some challenging paddling conditions, and chowed on a tasty picnic barbeque on a private sandy beach. Daniel was refreshingly enthusiastic; an excellent guide and host. His knowledge and skills were assuring. Would definitely recommend this great tour

Paddle into the sunset with delicious BBQ - We had a lovely kayak tour with breathtaking views of the Auckland skyline, both in daylight and at night. Also the BBQ was very delicious and the sunset from Rangitoto Summit was super nice:) We had a very nice tour and we owe this mainly to our guide Ben from Patagonia, who made us feel very well looked after:)

Fun, much exercise, and a unique adventure - Ben took us on an amazing kayak tour! The instructions were very clear. I was a beginner when the tour started and he made sure to check on everyone and make sure we were keeping pace. But when we weren't, he helped us along. I was already tired by the end of the trip there so the dinner was very satisfying and there was plenty. The walk up the mountain was a brisk hike with a gorgeous sunset. And then after all of that exercise and beauty, the walk back down and the prep for the trip back. Kayaking out on the calm bay waters at night was so lovely. We could see more stars than in the city and the city skyline lit up. The need to focus on paddling made me forget all about my fear of what lurks in the water. I do recommend you follow instructions as far as items to bring along. You will want at least what is stated. I used swim bottoms for the kayaking part and that was a good decision. I recommend bringing a 2nd shirt as my top got quite wet as well despite all the gear. But I made it work with what I'd brought and had a very fun time.
