Two novices in a kayak at night - Our guide Ben was cheerful, knowledgeable and kind. He made two novices feel they could do it. The kayaking was a challenge but doable and my arms ached the next day and the walk and views were brilliant. Coming back we had wind behind us and lights were lovely

Texans Sunset Kayak Tour - Our kayak tour was a great experience for us first time kayakers! We didn’t get to go to Rangitoto because the waves were too strong. We went to Brown Island, which gave us a fantastic view of the sunset. Our guide, Ben, was very patient, knowledgeable about the kayaking and the island, and made us feel safe. Our kayak experience was a great adventure we will always remember.

A must-do trip! - I had a fantastic experience on this tour. I turned up jet-lagged and apprehensive and was immediately put at ease by the guides, Ben and Dan. Ben provided a fun, informative and interactive safety and technical briefing. I really enjoyed the way over to Rangitoto island surfing the waves with Dan, interspersed with interesting facts about the area. The BBQ was DELICIOUS. The walk to the top of the volcano for sunset was educational and was made exciting by exploring the lava caves. The guides even managed to organise a gorgeous sunset! The kayak back to the mainland was an experience… the wind was working against us! But both Ben and Dan kept everyone’s spirits up even when the energy reserves from the BBQ and brownies were depleting. Overall an amazing start to my NZ adventure.

Great way to see the island with fantastic guides and equipment - A great way to see the island if you are up for the challenge. Kobey and Ben were fantastic guides making the whole trip enjoyable. We felt safe the whole time and well supported with incredible equipment. The view from the top of the volcano was well worth the hike, not to mention the satisfaction you have when the kayaking is done and you can say you did it. Plus, the delicious BBQ gives you the energy you need to keep going.

Amazing Tour - What an unforgettable experience! A huge shoutout to Kobey and Ben, who were phenomenal guides. The kayaking was smooth with stunning views, and the hike to the summit for sunset was absolutely magical. Paddling back under the stars was the perfect end to an incredible evening. If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate—it’s a must-do! Thanks again, Kobey and Beny, for making it so special!

Magical Tour - A great enjoyable sunset tour to Rangitoto led safely by Tim, Caitlin and Benedict. We crossed over to the Island with a following wind and a little swell which allowed some surfing before we landed for a BBQ supper. We then walked up to the main summit to watch the sunset, although the cloud came in too early, before crossing back in the dark. A tour is highly recommended whilst in Auckland

The best sea kayaking experience - The tour was amazing. Our guides Bennet, Kaytlin and Tony were great. Good instructioms on land and they also made amazing dinner on the island. I only wished hot chocolate was as a drink option as well. The paddle back was smooth. It was really an unforgetablle trip and a nice way to end our hollidays in NZ. The best part of the kayaking was surfing on waves. Would absolutely recommend going on the sunset kayaking trip with them.

Rangitoto sunset kayak - My wife and I enjoyed this trip immensely. I’m 60 and she’s slightly younger, and both had a bit of hesitation based on the distance required to paddle to Rangitoto. If you’re adventurous, relatively fit and have tackled some challenges in your life, then you're ready too. Daniel and Cody shared their passion for life and respect for land, sea, air and land with all of us by educating us on the history and so much more of Rangitoto, adjoining islands and the Māori who came before us and have left a lasting footprint in this amazing land. One of our highlights during our first visit to New Zealand and I recommend you put this opportunity near the top of your list.
