Rad Rangitito Adventure! - This was such an incredible experience! I went on this excursion with some classmates and was very nervous about my kayaking abilities. I shared a kayak with our tour guide, Daniel, and he was AMAZING. He has a true passion for teaching others and he was so supportive - Not to mention that he cooked us a great steak dinner! He helped all of us learn to kayak and hike up the Summit walk! I was really impressed by Daniel's knowledge and skill. This was such a cool chance to sight see and push myself!

Fantastic experience! - Thanks to Daniel our amazing guide for an unforgettable experience. I was partnered with another lady, and we were struggling to keep up with the pack. Daniel was very attentive, noticed I was struggling and gave us a tow. Once on the island we had a BBQ before hiking to the Summit to see the sunset. Kayaking back to Auckland at night was spectacular! I wish I had pictures from the kayak.:-( Thanks for an amazing trip. I will be back with my husband in November!

Beautiful Sunset Kayak Tour to Rangitoto - This Tour has been my most fun Tour in Auckland. Our guide Daniel was amazing and brought all the required expertise, knowledge and fun to our Trip. It was a beautiful paddle to the the Island where we had a BBQ before hiking to the summit for the sunset. We had a beautiful sunset and a beautiful paddle back in the dark with City lights, stars and some bioluminescence in the water. An experience you cant describe in words or pictures. This Tour is also a great chance to experience rangitoto without masses of other people. Totally recommond booking this if you're fit enough to paddle for an hour there and an hour back. Thanks Daniel for the great Trip!

Loved! - Our tour guide Daniel was patient, knowledgeable, and seemed to love his job. Beautiful kayak over to Rangitito and great food prepared for us by the guide. Hiked to the top for the sunset and full moon with beautiful views. The kayak back gave us views of the lite up Harbor bridge and city as well as the beautiful night sky- stars and moon. Loved everything! It is pretty physical and we were the older couple so keep that in mind but so worth it!

Sunset kayak tour doesn't disappoint! - Wonderful tour all round! Daniel led us on our epic cross-bay kayak/hiking adventure and did a great job educating us along the way. It was an incredible experience and the paddle back across the water in the dark, with clouds parting and stars shining through was magical. Highly recommend this tour and huge thanks to Daniel for going the extra mile.

A great way to end the day! - Our guide, Daniel, led us on a very fun trip to Rangitoto Island. First, he filled us in on the proper paddling form as well as some important safety tips. On the water he had an eagle eye for any approaching boats or ferries, and gave us some interesting info on some of the landmarks we were seeing. Once on the island he cooked us up a fairly hearty meal to refuel us before we headed up to the summit of Rangitoto. During the hike we went at a very comfortable pace, stopping every once in awhile where he pointed out local flora or fauna. On the way up we encounter some fan tails and some particularly chatty Tui. Despite the cloud cover we had an excellent view of the city at sunset with rain storms on either side and some clearer skies just behind the city. The hike down in the dark was a little more difficult, but we took our time and at no time felt rushed. The paddle back was a bit more calm and went smoothly. Paddling and watching the lights of the city was very peaceful. Overall we had a fantastic time. It does require a moderate level of fitness. The paddle one way is 10k/3 miles and the hike about 5.5k/3.5 miles. Daniel did an exceptional job as our guide and his passion for it was very evident. We’d strongly recommend this adventure even if the weather isn’t perfect!
