A wonderful experience! - We spent a good deal of time here learning about Māori culture and experiencing several activities. We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of the crafts institute watching trainees and masters work in stone/rock carving, wood carving and weaving. Wonderful to see the effort being made to keep theses cultural skills alive. We saw two Kiwis (the bird) in the nocturnal house and toured the geothermal area to take in boiling mud pools, active geysers and that distinct sulphur odour! We witnessed the opening of a Hāngi pit and indulged in a sensational buffet at the restaurant. Next we went to the Te Aronui a Rua Meeting House where, having our chief pass the welcome test, we ventured inside for a fantastic concert by the Māori whānau (family). This is the best experience in Rotorua – a must do!

Must see Beautiful Maori people! - This show and cultural center was very informative to learn about the beautiful and passionate Maori people. Enjoyed seeing Te Puia hot springs, as well. It was a full day, both driver and tour guide were very nice and managed our time well. We highly recommend!

Making friends on Cheeky Kiwi tour - Our tour guide Hanoz was very informative and considerate about time by making the most of it! Each person had tell all others on tour alittle bit about ourselves which helped all learn and to talk more freely among each other. Very good exercise!

From Auckland to Rotorua - Tepuia was wonderfully moved. I felt like I understood totemism a little too. I'm so glad I was able to join this tour. It was a one-man event, but I really enjoyed it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the warm atmosphere you provided from start to finish. Thank you very much.

Excellent and educational cultural tour! - This tour was amazing from beginning to end! Our driver, Hanoz, was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. We learned so much from him on the 2.5 hour drive to and from Rotorua. Our tour guide at Te Puia and the cultural performance was also wonderful and educational and entertaining and the buffet lunch was delicious! A must do when in New Zealand! Kia ora!
