Wine and fun on a September Day - Had a lot of fun! Wineries visited were beautiful and offered exquisite wines to taste, I cannot say which I enjoyed more. Caleb as our tour guide provided an in depth overview of the island, kept us on time, safe, and added to the fun. Thank you Caleb!

Would highly recommend this wine tour! - Our bus driver and guide, Nooroa, was extremely informative and entertaining. His experience and familiarity with the wineries enhanced our time spent at each winery. This tour provided us with a lovely scenic ride around Waiheke island, a visit and tasting to three of Waiheke’s famous wineries and a delicious and fresh lunch at Batch Winery. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore Waiheke Island and its wine scene.

Waiheke Island wine tour - a fun way to see the beautiful island! - Nooroa, was our guide and bus driver for the day and he was fantastic! His knowledge of the island made the tour so much more than a wine tour. He entertained us all day! The wines we tried were fantastic. We stopped for lunch at the ‘Batch’ winery and the food was amazing. The whole day was totally enjoyable. We would highly recommend this tour as it was a fun and enjoyable way to see the beautiful Waiheke Island.

Beautiful highly recommend - Highly recommend this tour! Caleb the tour guide was great and friendly and helpful. I went on the tour solo, as did a few others and everyone was very sociable and I met some great people! The tour itself was very well organised and we went to amazing wineries. Lunch was delicious & the wines were great. Waiheke is an absolutely stunning island!! A must see!

Beautiful day in Waiheke - A great way to visit the wineries and see the island, felt a little rushed so probably could have skipped cable bay and enjoyed more time visiting the other wineries Overall a fun day with family, driver was great !

Wine was fine, lunch was confusing. - Meeting up at the ferry terminal was easy. The bus was comfortable, and the driver was safe and gave good information about the island. It was a group of 22 which was an okay size. I would have liked some sort of introductions at the start to break the ice rather than just checking in and driving off. The first winery was Cable Bay. The wines were fine. It is a wine tasting, not all are going to be to my liking but that's how they go, right? The host gave very brief introductions of each wine. Then we drove what felt like across the island (which is not very big) to Batch Winery. This is where it got very confusing. Apparently I had paid for the lunch option, but we get to the restaurant and many of us get off to go eat in the restaurant. The menu was good and the food was too, but I am not sure what exactly we paid for. The rest of the group (and I meant to ask one of them) was taken into a village and was on their own for lunch. So what was the extra money for? I think I would have liked the non-lunch option more than the lunch at a winery where we had to pay for the lunch. Many of us were confused. Then we got back on the bus and picked up the people from the village and went to the second tasting at Stonyridge. This was the best tasting and I recommend this winery. The host (I forgot his name) went around the group asking where we were from and interacting nicely with the group. He was knowledgeable and engaging. The wines were good including a voigneur (which is not a common wine). We hung out there for a bit which was nice, but then when we get on the bus, the driver says we need to hustle to the last winery, Mudbrick. I swear we had passed it earlier (it really felt like we spent a lot of time driving back and forth). Well time was short in order to get back in time for the 4pm ferry, but it also meant feeling very rushed rather than relaxed and able to enjoy the last tasting. I would not recommend this tour. Something that would have made it better would be something like an actual tour about the winemaking at one of them. Or at least it be an option. Another fellow on the tour and I were discussing that. Again maybe it is just a personal preference. My biggest knocks were the time spent driving and the lunch deal/confusion. Feel free to google map it yourself: Matiata Terminal to Cable Bay to Batch to Stonyridge to Mudbrick.
