Fabulous guided tour - The tour guide was brilliant. She was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the trip, and provided plenty of interesting facts. She was lovely. The stops were enough time to have a Quick Look around, a leg stretch and some photos, but not so long you were having around waiting to get going again.

Wonderful! Tour guides were great! - Seeing the fjiords from a different perspective. Snow and water at the top of Stegastein, as well as the over look.

Great small group tour! - This was a great excursion! We saw a Stave Church, visited a small village and had an incredible drive beyond the tree line. The last stop was the lookout which was amazing! We had a fun tour guide, as well!

Excellent guide and spectacular settings - Our guide (female from Patagonia) was very well informed and shared history and cultural knowledge with us. Being driven through the longest vehicle tunnel in the world was exciting and appreciate the challenges to living in a mountain area. Was disappointed not to be able to get into the grounds surrounding the Stave Church let alone the church itself. Felt rushed at our beautiful scenic stops and realize the number of tourists (buses and cars) on the narrow roads made it necessary in order to return to the ship on time. (We took the 1 p.m. trip, suggest you go earlier to avoid this.) Being above the snow line and seeing the snow and the crystal clear snow-melt ponds was so refreshing. My 4th trip to Norway and I continue to plan my next one.

Bus was not ready for passengers - The tour itself, itinerary was very good. The driver was excellent: drove very carefully and brought us all back on time and alive (driving around the serpentine in the mountains!). The weather was unusual warm, but the bus was not ready for this weather - air conditioner was not working! Driving in it was like “they are trying to cook us inside this bus”. The microphone was not lowed enough, it was hard to hear the guide in the back of the bus. I wish also, to have the time to get inside of the church and the tour company should offer tickets for inside look.

A Missed Opportunity - We have used Viator Tours many times and in many places. We took this tour expecting to receive the best. We were set to see the beautiful Norwegian countryside and visit the Borgund Stave Church. Our group size was small and the van very comfortable. Our driver was good, but it appeared as if the driver and the guide had not worked together before. Our tour guide seemed new at her job. She relied heavily on her written notes. The long stretches of drive time provided her with time to share general information about Norway - highlighting its people, culture, history, modern politics, economic issues and environmental concerns, etc.,, but we got very little dialogue. We traveled through the longest tunnel in the world. When was it completed? How long did it take to complete? How many people were involved with its construction? At what expense? These are questions we still have no answers to. The tour title included Borgund Stave Church. Imagine our surprise when our guide told us as we arrived at the sight that we were not going into the church! We were not even allowed into the fenced area around the church. We were told that entrance to the church was an “extra fee.” We felt for what we paid for this excursion, admission to the church should have been included. Looking at an historical church from the other side of a fence was disappointing to us as tourists who may never get back to that part of the world again. Had we known we were not really going to see the church, we may have chosen a different tour. Our tour guide was pleasant and she was polite. She may be a great tour guide with more experience in and around Flam. Unfortunately her inexperience and lack of knowledge created a less than stellar experience for us.

Confusing Directions To Meeting Place - Took a bit of time to find the tour. Directions were not very clear. Once we got started there were Breathtaking views. Worth it for the views alone. Wish there was a bit more time at each stop. If you have to use the washroom it will eat up most of your time at the stop. There is only one stop that has a washroom so plan ahead.

Untrustworthy and ruined day - Viator charged me for four tickets (what I asked for). My app said 4 tickets but when we got to the bus for the excursion Viator had told them I cancelled one and only had 3 seats. The bus was was full and the operator told me that they weren’t leaving till I got off the bus. The operator (excursions4u) was very rude and gave no care I had nothing for my day in Norway. Will NEVER use again.

Don't waste your day - The most unprofessional, sleazy, incompetent business that I have ever encountered. Viator should not allow them to be a company under contract with them. It was a 12:30 excursion. Was sent a communication to arrive at 11:40. We arrived at 11:30 and were told that they were waiting for a few more people. With no communication, we waited on the bus for an hour and then left at 12:30. After leaving the parking lot, we then turned around to go back to pick up people who were late for the 12:30 arrival. The boss made them do it we were told. We went through the tunnel and were directed into an inspection area for trucks, buses, etc. After the initial inspection, we were directed into another area for further review. The inspector said right from the beginning that we needed another bus. They did nothing. Spent 30 minutes trying to find the paperwork for the vehicle. One piece of paper was found in the netting of the first row seat. Finally, they found the folder in an overhead bin. However, even with the paperwork, the bus was not roadworthy. There were several issues. We were in an area with no transportation services as a couple of us tried to go into businesses asking if there was anyway back. There wasn't. After about an hour standing in the parking lot; a van showed up to take us back to the ship in groups. The business only had 1 month of experience. The driver and guide were completely helpless. We saw nothing. Wasted our entire experience. While we are being reimbursed; we aren't being compensated for our inability to see the beautiful sites that we missed.
