Our Dusk Bat Spectacle provides breathtaking sights of Downtown Austin’s skyscrapers, intriguing information about the native bat population, and the opportunity to witness the departure of 1.5 million Mexican Free-Tailed bats from the well-known bat bridge.

Our premises is situated just a few minutes from the Congress Avenue Bridge.

It’s definitely a 5-star experience!!! - It was an unseasonably warm Austin day but getting on the water was a perfect way to wrap it up. Our guide, Scott, was terrific. He was very knowledgeable about Austin, the skyline, the buildings and of course, the bats. If you want to take really good pictures bring a camera. They’re hard to catch with a phone camera. All in all, it was the highlight of our trip and I highly recommend it. Just a beautiful way to spend an Austin evening.

A Unique Way to Experience a Highlight of Austin - The city skyline is beautiful at night when the building lights come on. Sitting watching the thousands of bats take flight from Congress Bridge was a highlight. Rowing across the calm waters at night was a treat.

Fun to go, in the right season. - It is so much fun to go out onto the river, and to paddle up and down. However, it seems to me that to go in mid October, may be a little to late to see the bats, as if they were to be seen earlier in the season. The tour guide was really good though, knew lots of facts about bats and the general area.

Disappointed - Too much time “touring” before seeing the bats and couldn’t hear the leader. Once dark, very difficult to find the leader and our group. Once back to the dock, not enough help getting out of the boat and pier very dark and dangerous…
