Spooky Good Time! - My husband and I knew we were likely only going to stay on Catalina one time only. So we took the opportunity to do this ghost tour. My husband is not a believer. Which is fine. He goes along with these things because he knows it interests me, and he ends up finding history interesting too because it’s not all spooky and occult. They tell you a lot about how the island started with all the darkness mixed in. The tour runner and business owner Jess is very knowledgeable. The kind of person that has stories for days because they talk to everyone and have taken the opportunity to experience and be open to everything this life/world has to offer. I love these types of people when you meet them. The authentic and eccentric salt of the earth. Jess walks the group from the ghost tour store front to casino point while telling you the macabre dark history of the structures and events of the island. I found it very informative and interesting. I enjoyed myself very much. A small price to pay for a little spooky tour. If you like these types of attractions or just enjoy a good historical walk, I think it’s well worth your time and money. Bonus- She asks you where you are staying on the island and tells you the ghost story attached if you want to hear. If there is not any or she does not know any. She won’t make one up. She is honest. I told her I knew the moment I walked into our hotel there was something there. Said the name of the hotel and she pointed at the shelf the book was on that the information was in if I wanted to read it. Of course I did. It was a very fun time!

Excellent - John is very accommodating and always try to answers all questions as much as you can. The stories that he was selling are all totally creepy… it always gives me a goosebumps…

Really enjoyable experience! - Our guide told a lot of cool ghost stories and gave us information about history we wouldn’t have otherwise known. Our guide was great and helpful and funny. Great to experience.

Fun night on the town. - Jess was fun and really into creepy spooky stories of Avalon. It was an enjoyable evening! She even conducted the tour privately for my wife and I as we were leaving the next day.

Nicely paced night walk through town getting to hear interesting ghost stories - This was a nicely paced walk through town getting to hear interesting ghost stories relating to various people (famous and not so famous) that have either visited, lived or died on the island. Our guide was good storyteller and did his best to engage the group and keep things upbeat. I’ve been on other similar tours and I appreciated the headset to hear him better as we walked through some busy areas. The only issue is that the audio would sometimes cut out, but it wasn’t a huge deal if you just stayed close to the guide.
