Personalised high class tour at your pace - This was a great find…. An afternoon private tour one on one with a guide at our pace in comfort during a heat wave! Mustafa was the best guide with a mix of history, some off road adventure and picture taking…. Ha he knows all the spots to get the best pictures! We enjoyed all the sights, being able to ask questions and in some ways guide where we did and didn’t go. Highlights were love valley and my hilarious attempt at the pottery wheel…. Would far outweigh a group bus tour

Seasoned guide who knew her subject area! - Sarep was a very helpful guide who knew the details of the area intimately. We saw some amazing natural beauty thanks to her. She also booked us on a spectacular hot air balloon trip that was more affordable than our earlier quotes.

Exceptional tour agency, highly recommended! - I do not usually write online reviews, but I am writing this one because we had an exceptionally good experience on both the Red and Green tours. Our guide was Serap, the proprietress of the agency herself, and we thoroughly enjoyed her detailed explanations. They were not only informative but also enjoyable. We had more than enough time at each place, and there was no rush. The lunch on both the tours was also very good. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed both tours. Highly recommended!

Unforgettable!!! Had an Incredible Time in Cappadocia. - If you are travelling to Cappadocia and not choosing Reliable travels, you are missing out!! The tours were very well organised and never felt like a group tour as we were not rushed or restricted even once. As informed beforehand the group was small and whole tour had a personal touch to it. Serap knows her job and explained every detail to us, which made a lot of difference while visiting the historical sites. She even carried our 3 year old Son, at times when we went hiking through the breathtaking valleys. Reliable Travels - you made our days in Cappadocia so memorable…. We will cherish it for years to come. Ms Serap and her husband Mr Mustafa are incredibly warm and kind people and went out of the way to help us when our younger son fell ill… They drove us to the hospital and then to the pharmacy in their personal vehicle and communicated with the doctor and pharmacist…. No words to thank you🙏🏽 Highly Recommended!

Thoughtful trip planning with amazing guides and service - Absolutely loved our two day we went on trips in Cappadocia and our 12 day trip in Turkey which included Istanbul, Ephesus and Cappadocia! Every detail was thoughtfully planned and any hiccups we met on the trip was taken care of efficiently by Serap! We had planned this trip for 2020, so for two years Serap communicated with us and made this trip happen. Her guides were fun, knowledgeable and knew great places to eat ( very important!) I would strongly recommend Serap for any of your Turkey travels!

A tour company that's a perfect mix of passion, knowledge and friendly - Amazing experience with Reliable travel company and Serap is the best guide I ever had. I spent 3 days in Turkey buy only one day in Cappadocia. But right from day I landed in Turkey, Serap has been in constant touch with me in knowing my travel plans, recommending good places. Since I was there only for a day in Cappadocia, she made sure that I get to see the best places. She is very patient in taking my pictures, explaining the history during travel, very friendly. Can't thank enough for the amazing tour experience I had...

Choose Serap and Reliable Travel! - Why should you choose Reliable Travel, owned by our new friends and the most amazing tour guides Serap Aga and her husband Mustafa, for your visit to Cappadocia? I’ll let my photos speak for themselves. Hands down our favorite tour was “Colors of Cappadocia” where we hiked 8.8 km through Kizilcukar Vadisi (Rose Valley) (photo 1). On all of our tours, Serap showed us many carved-rock cave churches. Some were built into the geological cone structures Cappadocia is famous for (photo 2). Some were entire cathedrals carved inside natural caves (photo 3). And some were obscure and accessed by climbing up sheer cliff faces (photo 4). After letting my husband attempt the original access, Serap took us around back to show us the easy way. Many fabulous frescoes have been preserved such as (photo 5) depicting diamonds, hearts, clubs, and spades; shapes that secretly signaled Christianity during persecution periods … a cross can be drawn inside each shape. At Byzantine era Çavuşin Church, one of the earliest Christian settlements in Cappadocia, Serap guided us up and down shaft passages used to access different levels (photos 6 and 7). Although it appears scary, it’s easy. The passage is square and filled with hand a foot holds. You can brace yourself against any side as you navigate your way. I’m sure toddlers mastered it quickly. Serap showed us many examples of “pigeon houses” (photo 8). Pigeons were important to agriculture in Cappadocia. Small holes were carved into rock cliffs to attract them. Farmers collected their droppings for fertilizer. Turkey exports more foodstuffs than it consumes. Serap showed us many types of food on our hikes including grapes, walnuts, pistachios, blackberries, mulberries, squash, rose hips, thyme, etc. Serap took us to an amazing underground city called Kaymakli. It was carved by the Phrygians in soft volcanic rock in the 8th century B.C.E. The Byzantines expanded and deepened the caves to hide from Muslim Arabs from 780 to 1180 C.E. It could house up to 10,000 people temporarily while the above-ground city was defended. (Photo 9) is a round stone wheel that was rolled forward to cover the passage to stop invaders. It felt very “Flintstones” down there! Serap took us on an amazing 7 km hike through the Ihlara Valley. We followed Melendez stream that winds through it, admiring the sheer rock cliffs formed when Hassan volcano erupted during the third geologic period. The whole valley has functioned as a monastery since the 4th century with 105 rock-carved cave churches and nearly 10,000 cave dwellings. In the 9th century when iconoclasm (prohibitions against depictions) began, Christians poured into the region to practice their religion in relative secrecy and safety. We ate lunch Turkish style in Belisirma Village over the Melendez stream surrounded by pistachio trees. After lunch, Serap took us to a smaller underground city in Guzelyurt Village. We dutifully followed her down shaft passages with hand and foot notches. Serap showed us the amazing Selime Cathedral, a 12th century monastery that served as an outpost along the Silk Road. It felt very Land of the Lost. I kept expecting a Sleestack to jump out at me. (Only my Gen X’s will understand 🤣) Last, but certainly not least, Serap took us off the beaten path to show us Nar Crater Lake at Mount Hasan, a dormant volcano (photo 10). See my husband, Robert D’s, review for more details. And definitely choose Serap. She’s simply the best!
