Highlights
  • Abbaye Notre-Dame de Senanque - After a 50-minute drive from Avignon, your tour guide will first take you to the world-known Sénanque Abbey, a wonderfully preserved 12th-century monastery nestled among lush forests and beautiful lavender fields. Widely considered among the region’s top attractions, don’t miss the opportunity to admire this gem of Romanesque architecture during the blooming season of lavender (in full bloom starting from June 20-25). Please be aware that during this day trip time doesn’t allow a visit of the interiors.
  • Vieille Ville de Gordes - On the way to the old town of Gordes, a photo stop at Gordes’ famous overlook is planned. Here you’ll have the chance to admire one of the most incredible panoramas of the Luberon valley, where vineyards and olive groves stretch out as far as the eye can see, surrounded by gentle green mountains. Minutes later, your driver will drop you off by the town’s castle from where you can easily explore the cobbled streets of this world-known hilltop town and admire stunning views of the Luberon landscapes. Plenty of shopping opportunities are available here, as well as small cafés and icecream shops. Meet your tour guide again at the meeting point and head to another wonderful village.
  • Roussillon - At around 1 pm your tour guide will drop you in the village of Roussillon, where you’ll have a longer time to spend than in the other towns. This allows everyone to have lunch in one of the cafés or snack bars and to explore the colourful streets of Roussillon, where every house is painted a different shade of ochre. If you opt for a quick lunch on the go, you’ll also have enough time to walk the beautiful Ochre Trail (entrance fee not included - 4€/adult), a developed pathway through the ombre coloured cliffs of a former ochre mine.
  • Sarraud - Following the blooming stage of lavender, during the day we will take you to the brightest and most scenic lavender fields of that moment. In June we will focuse on the wide lavender fields on the hillsides of the Luberon valley, whereas later in the season, normally after July 1, we will drive you to higher areas, like the high plateau of Sault. At least two long photo stops are scheduled, both in June and in July.

Experience a Delightful Lavender Tour and Skip the Trip Planning Hassles! - Our tour guide, Nicholas, was amazing – really friendly and a super safe driver. He made the journey so enjoyable! Along the way, he introduced us to all the upcoming places we'd visit and even suggested some cool stores, restaurants, and photo spots. Now, here's the best part – we got to visit a lavender distillation factory! It was such a unique and surprising experience. I'm so glad I decided to join the tour because I would've had no idea how to find and explore the factory on my own. If you're looking for a fantastic tour with a friendly guide and exciting surprises, this one's a winner! I highly recommend it to everyone.

A perfect day on the lavender route - We knew we were at the end of lavender season, but we still wanted to have the experience and learn about the process. This tour ensured we got first hand access to the process and a lavender field still in bloom while also letting us explore three local towns and spend time on our own. The perfect way to explore and learn. Nicolas was the perfect guide and very knowledgeable. He gave us great information and had a well planned day.

A delightful day in the lavender fields near Avignon - A delightful day. Our time in the lavender fields of Provence with Pro Vans was our best tour experience in our 18 months in Europe as expats. Veronica’s commentary was a mix of history and humor. I was amazed that we experienced no large crowds at any of our stops. Of course I learned later that this was planned. A testament to the forethought Pro Vans must put into the route and the events of the day. A day on tour with Pro Vans is time well-spent.

Absolutely amazing! - This was one of the best small group day trips I have done. Veronica and her husband are so well organised, you can tell that they have done their research to give their guests the most out of their day trip in this region depending on the time of season. It is so well planned from the duration in each town, to the location of the lavender fields and the insider knowledge when visiting the lavender farm. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to switch off and just visit the locations she took us to without having to worry about organising anything. Our group got along very well allowing us to make new friendships! The group size is absolutely perfect at a very reasonable cost as well. Thank you so much guys!
