- Ayia Napa - It must be noted that as per the advice of seal specialists, from November to March 15 we do not enter the Sea Caves and we do not go very close to them, because Mediterranean monk seals and their puppies may be using them. We should not disturb them. We visit the caves during the rest of the year, provided the sea is not very choppy.
Agia Napa Sea Caves complex is the most western point of our itinerary. The complex comprises a collection of sea caves and rock formations, on the east side of the Agia Napa fishing port, just east of the two beaches of Pantahou and Glyky Nero. Some are almost too narrow for even a single person to enter, others are wider, some have a form of a tunnel or of a natural arch (the famous Lovers’ Bridge).
Again, depending on our discussion we may stop here for a dip.
- Cape Greco - This cove has been know as ‘Palaces’ due to their grand, artificial appearance. A very popular cove visited as a rule by land. The waters are very clear. Often, a number of people dive from the top of the cliff.
We visit the Sea Caves, depending on travellers’ preference and profile. Doing both sea cave complex may be too tiring for a number of the kayakers, especially if the water is a bit choppy.

Our topside kayaks are suitable for novices, offering a delightful voyage along the picturesque shores of Cyprus. During the adventure, we navigate through two natural and one artificial beach, and on days of placid sea, we wander into two oceanic caves (except between Nov 15 and Mar 15), one having dual entries. We also pay a visit to the Lovers’ Bridge. The seawater is pristine and perfect for snorkelling, enhancing the overall experience.
Indicative duration from various meeting points is as follows:
Meet at seashore - in excess of 6 hours
Agia Napa - slightly above 5 hours
Protaras - Approximately 5 hours
Larnaca - just over 4 hours
(Free zone of) Nicosia - slightly under 4 hours
Subject to marine conditions and preferences of our travellers, we might extend our route to the eastern extremities like Cape Greko Sea Caves Cove.
The group is limited to four kayakers plus the guide.
We may reroute around eastern Cape Greko in case of predicted rough seas, upon customer consensus. If weather forecasts suggest unfavourable conditions everywhere, the tour is cancelled.
- Please keep in mind that while we do provide things like a dry bag, travellers should be clear that they would probably get wet and they should not bring along things that would be damaged by salt water.
- The kayaks are light, only 18 kilograms each and can go relatively fast, depending also on the weight on them. There is some storage place on them. At the same time, people should keep in mind that increasing the weight on the sea kayaking, increases the work they would need to do to move the kayak forward.
- Possibility of upto four kayakers until July 2023. Number goes up to six from Aug 2023
- We check weather forecast the previous night. If it is not good, and better on the east coast, we instead kayak along the east side of Cape Greko, if customers agree and the weather forecast there is better.
- Kayakers should be able to swim. Yes, the kayaks of course float and all kayakers were Personal Flotation Devices. Still we expect everyone to be able to swim.
- Our kayaks are rated for a load of 125 kg. We recommend a load of no more than 100 kg.
