Fantastic evening with new found friends - Hugo and his family did a wonderful job welcoming our family into their beautiful home. In addition to our family, that evening there was another family from the US and a Italian-French couple for our dinner experience. Parking is easy in the neighborhood but if you don't have a rental car and are staying in Angra, you'll probably want to take a taxi as the home is located Terra Chá which is about 10 minutes/5 kilometers from Angra. Every part of dinner was home cooked, traditional and absolutely delicious! They have a very nice outdoor space to chat in while waiting for dinner, along with a kitchen and dining area right in their lovely backyard. We may have entered as strangers but by the end of the night, we felt like friends and that was in no small part to our friendly hosts and their kids! Thank you for the warm welcome and showing us the true hospitality of Terceira!

Highlight of Terceira - What an absolutely amazing experience!! My birthday and Hugo and his family made it so special. The food was amazing but the interaction with him and his family is what made it so special.

Delicious food & genuine company - This was our first time in the Azores and my husband and I went to Hugo and Rosa’s with another couple. We truly enjoyed our night with this sweet family in their welcoming home. Not only was it the best meal we had visiting Terceira, it was so interesting to learn more about the culture of the island firsthand. They were gracious hosts and we also loved meeting Laura and Augustus! A truly special night!

Great event with family to get insides from the locals out site of touristic places - Thank you for warm welcome and very nice evening with very good traditional food from the wood oven. Handmade bread, special and very tasty dishes together with Hugo and his family. All together and the very casual evening was an amazing experience for us. We are a family off 3, 14 years old son, who enjoyed the evening as well. One of the highlights to visit the azores

Unique experience, highly recommend - Hugo and Rosa offered a very unique experience by opening up their home to us and welcoming our family like we were a part of their family! The food was fabulous, traditional stew, potato’s, baked beans (outstanding), homemade bread, cheese plate, desert, wine, sangrias, plenty to sample and eat. Great to talk to them and their kids about life in the Azores and they recommended places for us to explore on the island. Thank you for giving this opportunity and for sharing your home and family with us! Very fun night.

Our Most Delicious Meal with a Welcoming Local Family - Highly recommend this dinner with Hugo and Rosa’s family. They were welcoming and prepared a delicious meal for our family. The traditional stew, potatoes, beans, and bread were the best meal that we had at the Azores. They answered all our questions about Terceira and gave recommendations for places to go when we had free time the next day. Thank you for opening your home to our family and sharing your food and culture!

Azorean hospitality at its finest - This dinner with locals was a highlight of our trip to Terceira, thanks to our incredible hosts! Located in the "suburbs" of Angra, a short drive from the city centre, the festivities took place in a gorgeous annex to the main house, including a "summer kitchen" with a wood-fired oven, and wonderfully decorated dining and living area. The food was delicious and authentically Azorean, and the hospitality was second to none. We enjoyed some delicious liqueurs you can only get in the Azores, and also music and dancing. We felt immediately at ease, and had a lot of fun. Highly recommend!
