From Ponta Delgada city center by auto, head East along the coast and follow directions to Vila Franca do Campo. Once in Vila Franca do Campo, descend towards sea level and the Marina where our Base and Yellow Boats are stationed, and Free Parking can be found.

Great last minute addition! - We booked this tour last minute when another tour cancelled on us. We were pleasantly surprised that we were the only group on the trip! We had a great time with our guide from the UK (apologies, but I forget her name!) and learned a lot about Furnas and the neighboring towns.

Enjoyable and Easy - I usually tour on my own either solo or with my family. Tried an organized tour this time. It was a terrific tour of Furnas. Our Guide, Frida, was friendly, knowledgeable and personable. It was like hanging out with a friend for the day who was super helpful. Saw and learned things I would have missed if on my own. Time was well spent, didn't feel rushed.

Amazing day in Furnas - Knowledgeable and kind tour guides made this tour super fun! Nice view point locations have been selected for it. We enjoyed Terra Nostral hot pool a lot! We highly recommend this tour.

A great trip to Furnas with lunch! - After our whale watching tour, we took the tour to Furnas and the Terra Nostra Botanic Gardens. Our guide, Sona, was very knowledgable and shared a lot of information about the areas we drove through, the Furnas area and the Terra Nostra Gardens.
We had a typical Furnas lunch that was cooked in a fumerole near the little restaurant before we proceeded to the gardens. Sona lead us around the gardens telling us the history of the place and showing us the wide diversity of plantings there. We then changed and went into the hot springs pool for a relaxing soak.
After we dressed, Sona showed us the fumeroles and then we stopped by the local lake and she told us the history of the gothic church by the lake. It was a great afternoon.

The guide was very... - The guide was very pleasant and knew alot about the area. The only we didn’t get to do was the tour was supposed to have some time shopping which didn’t realize till we got back to the hotel. Over all I would recommend this tour.

Whale fish watching - We had a 3 hour ride with an rescue boat. We had a great view to see the fish, we saw 3 sites of dolphins. Unfortunely no whale fish, but the guys of the Terra Azul did everything what the got do the see them. They told very much info of the dolphins and put the boat still if we are at a scholl pf dolphins, so we gut take pictures of the dolphins.

An informative and professional crew - We had an excellent experience and fun time on a half day whale watching excursion, spotting 2 types of dolphin and sperm whales. It was thrilling to be out on a 22-seater boat .Vanessa gave an excellent commentary and could answer any questions thrown at her. We would certainly recommend this company.

Sadly our trip was cancelled due to weather 1st October - Took us 40 minutes to get there from the hotel as we were staying at on the other side of the Island only to be told the trip was cancelled at 09.00 am due to bad weather and rough seas. (They were still taking money at 08.55 am) but said they were waiting for weather update, After being informed the trip was cancelled there was a long line of over 30 people waiting for refund or to re book
We had booked via Viator on line from the UK. we requested a refund and this process was easy with the money back in our account two days later.
We did book others trips and saw dolphins and 8 sperm Whales from Ponta Delgada but went on bigger boats.
We decided to go for a walk and explore the area found a lovely man carving whales and Whale tails see photos in the harbour area just to the left in the fisherman's dock. prices from 5 Euros - 25 Euros.
