The first step in our journey today to learn about the mystical traditions and ancient civilizations of Morocco will be to follow in the footsteps of medieval caravans as we make our way to the edge of the desert. We will go to Merzouga from Fez.

Embark on a two-day journey from Fez to the Fez Desert, exploring the magic and rich history of Morocco. Our voyage takes us on ancient caravan routes leading to the gateway of the Sahara, with our destination being Merzouga. Expect to marvel at the splendor of the middle Atlas, ornamented with cedar and pine trees.

We will pass through Imouzzer, making a brief halt in Ifrane, also known as the Swiss city. Here, you’ll have the chance to marvel at Morocco’s most prominent forest and encounter Berber monkeys near Azrou.
We travel from the middle Atlas Mountains to the high Atlas Mountains, standing at an altitude of approximately 12,000 feet. Midelt is where we plan to have lunch.

Set amidst fantastic natural vistas, this charming village is celebrated for its prime apples. We will dine at one of the local eateries in town, where our meal for the day will be selected from a traditional Atlassi menu…
