Great family time - Linh gave us a market tour with plenty of explanation. We then move to kitchen a lovely hidden place. Explanations were great and she is a good listener as well. We went with our 5yo daughter and it was safe for her to participate. The food was also delicious !

Converted non-coffee drinkers to go back and buy pour over coffee makers! - First things first, Aroma is a fantastic host. She started the day with asking everyone to introduce themselves and share how many shots of coffee we drink per day (if any). Funnily enough, no one in our family drinks coffee, but we were open to the idea of trying the famous Vietnamese coffee. Aroma explains the coffee making process in an extremely engaging manner, speaking perfect English, and answers our questions about the historical and cultural significance of coffee with much depth. To give you an illustration of how good the coffee is: I had an egg coffee on Train Street the previous day (hoping to have a taste of local Vietnamese cuisine), but the coffee was so bitter I didn’t like it at all. During this experience, Aroma showed us the proper way to drink egg coffee, and thoughtfully added more egg less coffee - it tasted fantastic! The environment was clean and tranquil - my parents were very impressed.

Enjoyable Class - We enjoy cooking classes when we travel. As we were 8 minutes walk from the market we met at meeting point at the market. Very interesting market visit. Then a short transfer to the cookery school. Good teacher with a funny sense of humour. We enjoyed the class & the sit down meal together. We did expect to be dropped back at our meeting place but drop off was only offered to the old quarter. Enjoyable morning.
