This Phoenician city, where a triad of deities was worshipped, was known as Heliopolis during the Hellenistic period. It retained its religious function during Roman times, when the sanctuary of the Heliopolitan Jupiter attracted thousands of pilgrims. Baalbek, with its colossal structures, is one of the finest examples of Imperial Roman architecture at its apogee.

I’m impressed and delighted! Highly recommended to take this tour! - Such a wonderful trip it was!🫶🏻
First, I’d like to mention the professionalism of the guide. Hassane contacted me after booking and informed about the time of the start of the tour. He was very punctual and came on time.
Also, I’d like to mention the cleanliness of his car. It was super comfortable and pleasant to move along the day by his car.
Second, the itinerary itself. The day is organized really well. In the beginning, we visited the ancient city Aanjar, then the winery and after that proceeded to Baalbek. I was impressed by every location.
In the end of the day we’ve had a very nice and delicious lunch.
P.S.: thanks to Hassane, I’ve enjoyed the fresh figs picked from the fig tree at one of the stops.

Must Do Lebanon Tour - This tour and the company that run it are one of the best out there.
I have travelled extensively and rarely go on tours but I wanted to have a guide throughout the historical sites of lebanon. And this tour did not dissapoint.
Albert was my guide and he was the best. So knowledgeable and helpfull and I had a great time talking to him about all things lebanon and more.
He is an asset to this company.
Lebanon is such a beautiful country when you are here this tour is a must!!

Amazing experience in Lebanon and Baalbek. - Excellent tour, and good value. Excellent English, and very engaging discussion on any topic. Baalbek is of course the highlight. If you are a wine lover you might consider asking for the ‘high end’ tasting option for a few more dollars. Lunch was included and excellent. Price was as advertised - you pay only for the vineyard entrance.

Not to be missed! - The trip to Anjar, Baalbek and Ksara was really a fantastic day. Baalbek in particular is not to be missed! I had no idea how impressive it would be. Hassane was friendly and knowledgeable and provided insightful explanations regarding Anjar's history and the significance of the ruins and the city surrounding them. I had a different guide in Baalbek and she, too, was very knowledgeable and provided detailed historical context. We had delicious lunch at Lakkis afterwards and Hasane made sure my dietary restrictions were
accommodated (thank you!). The entire day I felt safe and well looked after. I'll be sure to return again when I have visitors and I'm already planning my next excursion with them!

Must see if you love megaliths - It was such a fantastic tour, Baalbek is a must see destation for anyone loving ancient megaliths! Our tour guide Hassane did a fantastic job driving us around and telling stories about Lebanon. Loved it!

Must see Baalbek - After a great trip with Lebanon tours to Byblos and Jeita Grotto day 2 was just as informative! Baalbek is a must see in Lebanon and one of the most impressive archeological sites I’ve visited! Can’t echo enough what a great yet crazy fun guide hassane is who will go completely out his way to help with everything not just things related to the tour

Fantastic day trip! - A fantastic day trip, beautiful scenery on route. Knowledgeable guides at Anjar and Baalbek. Lunch was great, plenty of delicious food. A short visit to Kasara, but a lovely way to end the day. I recommend this day out of Beirut, really enjoyable!
