• Bibliotheca Alexandria - Begin your journey with a pickup from your Cairo hotel and travel to Alexandria. The tour starts at the Library of Alexandria, the largest library globally, housing 8 million books. Visit the President Sadat Museum and the open court, where you can admire statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy the First, discovered underwater nearby. The guide will describe the library’s exterior design, and there will be opportunities for photo stops. Note: The Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays. A ticket is required to enter the reading area.

• Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - Explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, the largest Roman cemetery, featuring three levels carved into the rock.

• Pompey’s Pillar - Drive by Pompey’s Pillar and pause for a photo stop. This pillar was erected in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century.

• Ancient Roman Amphitheater - Visit the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria, showcasing the sunken monuments discovered under Alexandria’s East Harbor.

• Mansheya - Proceed through Mansheya’s oldest market area, featuring traditional women’s markets (zan’et etsetat) with narrow streets. The gold market here is popular for purchasing wedding and engagement jewelry.

• Alexandria Unknown Naval Soldier Memorial - Pass by the Unknown Soldiers Memorial.

• Sidi Morsi Abu al-Abbas Mosque - The tour includes a stop at the city’s largest and most beautiful mosque, the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, for a photo opportunity. Walk by Egypt’s oldest funfair.

• Kayetbai - Across from the corniche and old harbor, observe traditional fishing boats, fishermen, and net-making. The photos here are stunning. Continue to view the exterior of Quaitbay Castle, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This spectacular castle is an excellent photo stop.

• Montazah Gardens - The tour concludes with a visit to Montazah Palace Gardens, the royal gardens of King Farouk, Egypt’s last king. Enjoy a photo opportunity at King Farouk’s royal palace and explore the queens’ royal beaches.
