Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, we head to Tarangire National Park. The park follows the Tarangire River and is characterized by low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural landscape is primarily Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with extensive swamp areas in the south. During Tanzania’s dry season, both the river and the swamps attract a multitude of wild animals. Tarangire National Park is known for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. The park also hosts three rare animal species: the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch, we will go on an afternoon game drive.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti - After an early breakfast, we set off for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The drive, though long, is breathtaking and unforgettable for first-time visitors. As you journey deeper into the Serengeti, you’ll understand why its name means “endless plains” in the local language. The park spans 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), with plains that stretch to the horizon, challenging your sense of distance. It is home to the Great Migration, featuring 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and various antelopes. For those interested in big cats and large predators, the Serengeti is ideal for spotting lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many famous wildlife scenes, such as river crossings, have been filmed here.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti - Spend a full day in Serengeti National Park. We are entirely flexible with your preferences, and the day will be planned according to your wishes. Each day of the safari, your guide will discuss the best timings for activities, including game drives and wake-up times. For instance, you could opt for a morning game drive, return to camp for lunch and relaxation, and then go on an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you could choose a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro Crater - We recommend an early wake-up to embark on a morning game drive when the animals are most active and to witness one of the most stunning sunrises. After the game drive, we return to camp for a hearty brunch before heading to Ngorongoro, the 8th wonder of the Natural World. The crater covers 102 square miles and has 2,000-foot-high walls, making it a virtual Noah’s Ark, home to nearly every species of wildlife native to East Africa. It is one of the few places on the continent where you can see the black rhino. The crater features a river, several swamps, a soda lake teeming with flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It is also famous for its elephants, which are among the largest in the world and have enormous tusks. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - We will start the day early and descend to the crater floor for an extraordinary morning of wildlife viewing in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. After the game drive, we will enjoy a picnic lunch near the picturesque hippo lake. Following lunch, we will have time for a short game drive before ascending the crater and leaving the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, heading towards Arusha. We aim to return to Arusha around 5 pm, but we are flexible if there is a flight to catch or other circumstances.
