ARUSHA TOWN TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Tarangire National Park - Your journey begins with a 06:30am pick-up from your hotel in Moshi, followed by a transfer to Tarangire National Park. This park is renowned for its impressive baobab trees, diverse large mammal population, and wide variety of bird species. It also boasts one of the highest concentrations of elephants in the country. After exploring the park, you’ll be taken to your lodge for an overnight stay.

TARANGIRE TO SERENGETI PLAINS

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, we travel towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descending from the highlands, we enter the vast Serengeti National Park, known for its endless plains. We head to the central Seronera area, a prime wildlife habitat featuring the Seronera River, which attracts a variety of wildlife. We arrive in time for lunch and then enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park.

FULL DAY IN SERENGETI PLAINS

Serengeti National Park - Experience the unique opportunity to float in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at an additional cost with prior arrangement). Glide silently above the awakening bush, spotting wildlife and taking in the stunning African scenery. After breakfast, we embark on a game drive along the Sogore River Circuit, known for sightings of lions, Thomson gazelles, topis, ostriches, and cheetahs. A visit to the Visitor Centre near the Serengeti Seronera Lodge is recommended for its interesting wildlife displays and gift shop. We will have a picnic lunch in the shade of giant acacia trees. In the afternoon, we follow the Kopjes Circuit, which often attracts lions and large cobras. These weathered granite outcrops provide shade and water, making them ideal for wildlife spotting during the dry season.

SERENGETI PLAINS TO NGORONGORO CRATER

Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast at the lodge, we depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge. This historic site is where anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man,’ significant links in human evolution.

LAKE MANYARA TO ARUSHA

Lake Manyara - Following an early breakfast at the lodge, we head to Lake Manyara National Park. Located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, this park is home to a wide range of species due to its diverse habitats. The shores of Lake Manyara are often tinged pink with flamingos. The park hosts over 400 bird species and is a sanctuary for exotic birds. Expect to see Cape clawless otters, buffalo, elephants, Egyptian mongooses, hippos, giraffes, impalas, and the world’s largest concentration of baboons. After a picnic lunch in the park, we depart for Arusha in the afternoon.
