Perfect day - From the day I booked our tour I was amazed over and over again how professionally all my questions were handled and answered without delay. I prepared this special tour for my wife & me and arranged everything with the help of Grecia by WhatsApp. She also helped me out in matter that didn’t even concern our tour and helped me hook up with the hotel I had booked in Bacalar. Finally due to weather conditions we rescheduled without any problems and went on tour Saturday June 22. Our captain Miguel and his marinero Hazel fulfilled all our expectations of this trip. And more. We spent a peaceful day on the lagoon visiting all major sites and Miguel told us all he knows about the cenotes, the fauna and birds living in this paradise. We are very thankful to all of the Sailing Colibri team for having made this a day we won’t forget. Muchísimas gracias y espero nos vemos pronto. Saludos de Angelica y Michael

Fabulous - Wonderful afternoon aboard the Polaris, a comfortable sailboat of around 10m, which allowed us, with the wind, to cross this magnificent lagoon of Bacalar. Our skipper Miguel was perfect, kind and attentive. He prepared delicious fresh fruit, guacamole and ceviche (the best eaten in Mexico!) all afternoon! Swimming in turquoise water alone in the middle of nature. Everything was perfect . Miguel's explanations in French on the fauna, flora and life of the lagoon were great! An unforgettable break from our stay in the Yucatan! THANKS

Lovely water, food and people on a boat! - Lovely boat tour with great people and food! Hector and Ramon were so nice and took very good care of us. Appreciate the yummy food and good music they introduced us to. You must get out on the lagoon in a boat to fully appreciate it. I highly recommend this company to do it!

Great memories. - I cannot think of a better trip than the one we had with Captain Miguel and Colibri. The boat was clean, quiet with a bit of music, the captain well experienced and good humored.

Such a beautiful day - A private tour of the lagoon by sailing only for 6 hours. Perfect support from Miguel and Franco, discreetly with a view to sharing nature. A great moment of communion with local nature. Guaranteed change of scenery. Lots of professionalism in the care. We highly recommend this agency.

Lovely extended tour. Worth every minute. - The views and stops were amazing! Crew was top notch, fun and very informative. I love to learn about the locality when visiting and they were full of insight. It was slow going early in the morning with light wind but picked up later in the day. We did end the tour was an incredible electrical storm which is uncommon but handled perfectly and professionally by the captain and first mate. We would most certainly go out with them again on our next visit. Highly recommend. It is a sail boat which is relaxing and quiet, the perfect way to tour the lake.

Best part of our trip - This tour was the best part of a 10 day trip to Mexico with my wife and a couple of friends. Miguel was a fantastic host. He was very knowledgeable about the area, made wonderful food and had great stories to tell while taking us up and down the beautiful lagoon.

What a relaxing, beautiful experience - What can I say - the picture on my phone background is what I took while lying on the deck of the Colibri boat looking out onto the lagoon. I look at it when I'm stressed and remember back to this amazing voyage. We actually did a 7 hour tour and sailed everywhere. This lagoon is soo magical, the colors so incredible. Saw all parts of it and stopped a few times to go swimming. On the boat they served us fresh local fruit (best pineapple I've ever had), and homemade ceviche and guacamole. Captain Miguel is fantastic, so knowledgeable, loves to sail, loves the area and it shows in his guiding. Franco is a fantastic sailor. The two of them were so amazing to watch. We were staying in Akumal Bay and drove down here in our rental car for the day - they had a place to leave the car. The drive is really nice - through beautiful jungle, cute towns. It took a little less than 3 hours each way, and well worth it.

100% recommended - This was the highlight of my week in Bacalar which is really saying something because I’ve had the most amazing time there. The route was perfect, taking in all of the usual points but also going much further East along the lagoon than I had been before, giving me a chance to see even more beautiful spots. The food was excellent and there were a couple of stops to enjoy swimming. However what made this the best experience was Captain Miguel and his crew, whose name I cannot remember and so I’m sorry for that! I speak barely any Spanish but this wasn’t a problem for them, they took their time to explain so much about the lagoon, the wildlife, local history and much more and were genuinely excited to show me everything. They were also very welcoming and put me at ease from the beginning, which as a single female traveler who can be a bit awkward and nervous, means a lot. I cannot recommend this trip enough, my version was very chilled and relaxing which is exactly what I wanted, however I have no doubt these guys would be able to deliver an experience suited to whatever you are looking for.
