Highlights
  • Parc National de la Suisse Saxonne - Begin your adventure with a convenient pick-up from your Dresden hotel at a pre-arranged time. Relax in our comfortable air-conditioned minivan as our friendly and knowledgeable guides lead you on an unforgettable journey through the heart of Saxon Switzerland National Park. As you travel along the scenic route, be captivated by the stunning landscapes and fascinating insights shared by our guides. Get ready for an adventure filled with natural wonders, breathtaking views, and unforgettable memories.
  • Bastei Bridge - Discover Bastei, the crown jewel of Saxon Switzerland! Explore several breathtaking viewpoints, with the most stunning overlooking the Elbe Canyon, the largest sandstone canyon in Europe. From a height of 190 meters above the river, take in the beauty of Saxon Switzerland National Park - the table mountains of Lilienstein and Königstein with its impregnable fortress.

Then walk across this magnificent Bridge perched high above the river Elbe. This awe-inspiring landmark was the first tourist attraction in the region, constructed in 1851 to connect the rocky peaks with Neurathen Fortress. Prepare to be amazed by its architectural wonder!

  • Neurathen Castle - Explore the magnificent Neurathen Fortress, a medieval marvel nestled in the sandstone cliffs. Be mesmerized by yet another stunning perspective of the Bastei Bridge and the surrounding valley with forest theater.

But Neurathen offers more than stunning views! Travel back in time as we uncover archaeological treasures hinting at a surprising past when this region was submerged beneath a vast sea millions of years ago.

  • Elbe Sandstone Mountains - After exploring Bastei Bridge and Neurathen Fortress, embark on a scenic drive through the Elbe River Canyon to the Czech side of the National Park - Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
  • Pravcicka brana - Sokoli hnizdo - The 2km hike leads us to the Pravcicka Gate. Approaching it from below, witness the majesty with which it stands at the top of the surrounding landscape. It is the symbol of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, and you will understand why once you see it.
  • Bohemian Switzerland National Park - Recharge your batteries with a stop at a traditional Czech and locally renowned restaurant. Enjoy a rich “a la carte” lunch as a well-deserved reward. Traditional Czech and international dishes are served (including vegetarian options). We highly recommend trying Czech beer, known as one of the best in the world. This popular restaurant has the best reputation in Bohemian Switzerland. We are always warmly welcomed here, with a pre-booked table in the best spot waiting for you. Additionally, we have an advantage in the kitchen, so the wait for food is significantly shorter.
  • Tiske steny - Next, we drive you to the Tisa Rocks labyrinth, where Chronicles of Narnia was filmed. The rock city, with its towers, small squares, and mysterious corners, will captivate you with its beauty. Anyone who ventures into the depths of the rocks to enjoy the extraordinary charm of natural beauty will be rewarded with a memorable experience. And as you know, no one can take the experience away from you.
  • Dresden - After an amazing day exploring Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland, we’ll head back to Dresden for a relaxing ride. Chat with fellow adventurers, share your favorite photos, and unwind after a day of exploration. We’ll arrive back in Dresden comfortably, ensuring a perfect ending to your unforgettable trip.

Saxon Switzerland - Spectacular trip organized very well: times are optimized to the maximum allowing you to see so many things in a day but at the right pace. Also excellent is the subtsa lunch. Absolutely advisable and very fair price for all services offered

A great day out in the countryside of two regions with an too notch guide and driver - A really terrific day trip out of Dresden. It is great to get out of the city and see the surrounding nature of the Saxon and Bohemia regions. The trip includes a few stops at breathtaking natural formations, drives through chasing small towns and and a wonderful hike, which is mildly strenuous, but not too brutal. The provided restaurant stop/lunch was good, but not memorable. If I have one critique of the trip/suggestion it would be the lunch stop. We stood at a place removed from a town and sort of off the highway, but well off the highway and within a nice space of greenery. I think the trip might be improved and made more memorable by a stop to eat in one of the small towns we drive through to add a cultural element to go along with the day of natural wonders. Now a word about the guide and the driver: Dalibora (guide) and Daniel (driver) could not have been more pleasant and thoughtful. Dalibora's descriptions of, and obvious love for, the landscapes she shared with us, and the stories of the parks and ruins and built elements within them was extraordinary. She was also utterly charming and showed great care for each individual on the trip. She quickly seemed like a longtime friend rather than someone simply providing a service for us. It was sad to part ways at the end of the trip with this great guide. Daniel is young, seemingly not even out of his twenties, but he drives with the skill and caution of someone who has been doing it for years. And he's just a great kid. Hi is quite personable and clearly interested in the guests. He also quite clearly likes to laugh and is very funny, but not in a way that distracts him form his important work of ensuring the guests' safety as he drives. Getting to know these terrific guides was a great additional element to the wonders of the actual trip and the access to the environments that a day out with Saxon Tours provided. Thanks to all! Daniel

Amazing Tour with incredible tour guides! - This was a really amazing tour! Dalibora and Daniel were both super friendly and very knowledgeable about the sites at the national parks! We called ahead and told them we’d be bringing our 1 year old daughter and they were very accommodating including bringing a car seat for us. The second hike is a tough uphill slope but no one is rushing you and the sites are well worth it! Food was amazing as well! Would definitely recommend!

The lunch was very good and the beer they made was excellent! Trip of a lifetime..be prepared for lots of walking uphill and rocky terrain! It's very worth all the effort if you are healthy and physically able.

Wonderful and scenic day trip. Highly recommend. - We loved this day trip! Although we were asked to change our reservation date to accommodate the tour company, which we did, it was not our preferred date. It was a wonderful day with Milan driving and his very nice tour guide, Dali. We were six guests in the van and it was hard to hear her in the back seat. But all the activities and stops were great, wonderful lunch and fabulous scenery. Great walks! I would highly recommend this tour. Good luck to you, Milan.

Great experience but a lot of uphill hiking! - The sites were amazing and our guide was great! The only thing I would mention is there is quite a bit of hiking uphill (almost an hour for one site). It was a great workout but myself and another lady were struggling a bit to keep up with the younger members of the group as I am not in the best shape and have bad knees. Otherwise it’s a great tour and I am glad I did it!
