Highlights
  • Parc National de la Suisse Saxonne - Embark on a captivating journey through the heart of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland National Park! Our comfortable, air-conditioned minivan will pick you up directly at your Prague hotel at a pre-arranged time.

As you cruise along the Elbe Canyon towards the majestic Bastei Bridge, our knowledgeable and entertaining guide will share fascinating insights about the passing landmarks, bringing the region’s history and beauty to life.

  • Bastei Bridge - Experience Bastei, the crown jewel of Saxon Switzerland!
Explore several breathtaking viewpoints, among which the most stunning overlooks the Elbe Canyon, the largest sandstone canyon in Europe. From a height of 190 meters above the river, behold the beauty of Saxon Switzerland National Park - the table mountains of Lilienstein and Königstein with its impregnable fortress.

Then walk across this magnificent Bridge perched high above the river Elbe. This awe-inspiring landmark holds the distinction of being the first tourist attraction in the region, constructed in 1851 to connect the rocky peaks with Neurathen Fortress. Prepare to be marveled by its architectural wonder!

  • Neurathen Castle - Explore the magnificent Neurathen Fortress, a medieval marvel nestled in the sandstone cliffs. Prepare to be mesmerized by yet another stunning perspective of the Bastei Bridge, and the surrounding valley with forest theater. But Neurathen holds more than stunning views! Get ready to travel back in time. We’ll uncover archaeological treasures hinting at a surprising past, when this region was submerged beneath a vast sea millions of years ago.
  • Bohemian Switzerland National Park - After exploring Bastei Bridge and Neurathen Fortress, we’ll embark on a scenic drive through the Elbe River Canyon to the Czech side of the National Park - Bohemian Switzerland.

Our route will wind its way through charming villages Bad Schandau and Hřensko, allowing us to soak up the beauty of the region’s architecture. We’ll also keep an eye out for the historical elevator to the observation tower, a Guinness World Record holder.

  • Pravcicka brana - Sokoli hnizdo - The 2km hike navigates us to the Pravcicka Gate. Approaching it from below, you will see the majesty with which it stands at the top of the surrounding landscape. It is the symbol of the Bohemian Swizerland National Park and you will know why, once you see it.
  • Mezná - After a demanding hike, you need to recharge your batteries, so the next stop will be a traditional Czech and locally renowned restaurant. A rich “a la carte” lunch will be a welcome and well-deserved reward. Traditional Czech and international dishes are served (including vegetarian options). We highly recommend trying Czech beer, which is one of the best in the world. This restaurant is very popular with the locals and has the best reputation in Bohemian Switzerland. We are always very welcome at this restaurant and we have a pre-booked table in the best place that will be waiting for you ready before our arrival. In addition, we have an advantage over other guests in the kitchen, so the wait for food is significantly shorter.
  • Tisa - Then we will drive you into the Tisa Walls labyrinth, where Chronicles of Narnia was filmed. The rock city with lots of towers, small squares and mysterious corners will win you over with its captivating beauty. Anyone who ventures into the bowels of the rocks to enjoy the extraordinary charm of natural beauty will be rewarded with a nice experience. And as you know, no one can take the experience away from you.
  • Prague - After an amazing day exploring Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland, we’ll head back to Dresden for a relaxing ride. Chat with fellow adventurers, share your favorite photos, and unwind after a day of adventure. We’ll arrive back in Dresden comfortably, ensuring a perfect ending to your unforgettable trip.

Perfect way to see the sandstone columns on a great day out. - Saxon Tours (and their affiliate Uniline Tours) provided a wonderful day of exploring the extraordinary sandstone columns at Bastei bridge, Pravcicka arch and Tisa labyrinth, with some hiking and a delicious Czech lunch. About from the scenery, what made it special were the efforts o guides Elis and Kate, and driver Vince, who kept us safe and comfortable and informed; nothing was too much trouble and they even paid for appropriately timed toilet stops. Refreshments provided. 10/10.

A wonderful day out in lap of nature - We booked this tour with saxon tours . We were clearly communicated about the pick up timing from our hotel and guide name. Picke up was on time and we started our journey in a comfortable minivan with two other couples and our Guide Ondra and our driver Juraj. Juraj is a very gentle person who drove us safe and sound throughout the tour. Ondra is an excellent guide, full of information and humour and he never let our energy come down through out the tour. We started our visit with Saxon National park and visited Bastei Bridge and couple of view point. The hiking was of low intensity and through out the hike Ondra took very good care for us. The views are breathtaking and you will feel getting time travelled in a fantasy land of an bygone era. Thw next hiking was to visit the largest stone arch of Europe. But we decided to skip that as we are not much of a hiker. Ondra was kind enough to take us to a view point from where we could see the arch from down. Alternatively he took us in a walking tour of two nice hamlets in Czech part. We had a nice lemonade there. Then we headed to a golf resort where we had delicious lunch. Ondra took pre order from us and informed them. So the food came quick and hot. The golf resort itself is a place to cherish. Then we moved for another easy hiking in Tiske steny, the stone labyrinth where ' Chronicles of Narnia ' were filmed. Through out the tour, main focus for Ondra was our comfort and satisfaction. The car was loaded with water bottles , crossiants, energy bars ans other snacks item. Food and drinks were more than sufficient throughout the day and were included in the tour price. We spent a wonderful day in lap of nature with awesome people. A big aplaud fro Saxon tours. Highly recommended.

A Scenic and Historic Adventure Through Germany and Czechia - Our recent trip to Germany and Czechia was an unforgettable journey filled with stunning landscapes, rich history, and cherished moments with friends. This adventure, centered around hiking and exploring some of Europe’s most scenic routes, was absolutely a 5-star experience. Highlights of Our Trip: 1. Epic Hikes Through Scenic Landscapes: We set out to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Germany and Czechia, and the hikes we undertook were nothing short of breathtaking. The trails led us through lush forests, rolling hills, and tranquil valleys. The crowning jewel of our hiking adventure was reaching the **largest sandstone archway in Europe**. Standing beneath this colossal natural wonder was awe-inspiring. Its grandeur and the sheer scale left us speechless and provided a magnificent reward for our efforts. 2. Historic Marvels and Timeless Beauty: The trip was a delightful journey through history. Besides the towering archway, we discovered an ancient bridge that added a touch of historic charm to our exploration. These structures, with their centuries-old stories, stood in stark yet beautiful contrast to the vibrant, natural landscapes around them. It was a humbling experience to witness such enduring landmarks that have withstood the passage of time. 3. Delicious Local Cuisine: Our culinary adventures were just as thrilling as our hikes. Each meal we enjoyed was a testament to the rich and diverse flavors of the region. From hearty German sausages to savory Czech pastries, we relished every bite. The local dishes were a feast for the senses, and the warmth and hospitality we encountered made our dining experiences truly memorable. It was a delightful way to connect with the culture and traditions of the places we visited. 4. Shared Joy and Friendship: Traveling with friends added an extra layer of joy to the entire experience. Whether we were navigating the trails, marveling at the ancient archway, or sharing laughs over dinner, every moment was enhanced by the camaraderie we shared. The collective awe, the spontaneous laughter, and the shared discoveries made this trip incredibly special. It was a journey made richer by the presence of good friends. 5. Off the Beaten Path: Opting for less-traveled routes allowed us to experience the tranquility and unspoiled beauty of the region. We often found ourselves surrounded by serene landscapes, far from the crowds. This decision to explore off-the-beaten-path locations gave us a deeper connection to the natural environment and offered moments of pure peace and reflection. In summary, our adventure through Germany and Czechia was a perfect blend of nature, history, and friendship. The hikes, the awe-inspiring sandstone archway—the largest in Europe—and the delightful local cuisine made this journey worth every penny. For anyone looking to experience the scenic and historical wonders of these countries with friends, I highly recommend this trip. It was a 5-star experience from start to finish, and I can’t wait to explore more of Europe’s hidden gems!

Gladly again. - When our friends came to visit, we were looking for an interesting local experience for them. Although I know Saxon Switzerland, Milan showed us a whole new view of this region. This also included excellent food and new interesting places. His professional and friendly approach contributed significantly to a great experience. It was just great!

Hiking National Parks - This was an amazing trip and we would highly recommend it to others. Our guides were knowledgeable and very friendly. They walked us - literally - thru a wonderful day. The hiking was through beautiful and historical terrain and was exactly what we were hoping for. Suggestion: Give hikers a little less strenuous optional hike to the Arch - choose to go to the Arch or do something a little less steep. Otherwise, this was a perfect day!

Amazing tour - It was an amazing tour. A lot to see and a lot of walking. you need to have a good condition to take this tour. We visited 3 different highlights and they are beautifull in their one way. I mostly liked the Basteibridge; the view and the nature are spectatulair. We were with a small group (7 persons), 4 of them were from HongKong and we came from the Netherlands. We had a lot of fun during the day and learned not also from this tour but also from HongKong. Also our guide could tell a lot about the history of these highlights. Compliments for her but also for the driver of our small bus. If you are ever going to visit Prague you should also see those hightlights. it takes a day to see them all but you learn and see a lot.
