Great experience! 🤩🥰 - Woowww this was so much fun 🤩😍 I went with my husband for some nice time cooking but we got so much more! We started of by getting to know more about the culture and how people live together, Ron had prepared a nice tea and snack to start with. Also met Kimi, the cute dog of the family who lived there 🥰 The cookingclass itself was really amazing. We learned about all the flavours, could try the different techniques and taste everything and add flavours to our liking. There were lots of jokes involved so we had a awesome time laughing as well. If you like to try amazing authentic food and have an amazing time preparing it, follow this class 🙏 thank you Ron and friend!

A wholesome Balinese experience! - We had the best time cooking with Ron, he was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the traditional foods and day to day lives of a Balinese individual. Ron had a brilliant sense of humour and made the experience so fun! I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic experience and anyone looking for an opportunity to visit a genuine family home (for tea and cake also). Thank you Lesung Bali - the food was delicious, we will definitely put those recipes to good use back at home😊

MUST VISIT IN BALI!! - Where do I start? With Ron, or the experience itself.. Firstly, Ron is the most kind hearted soul I have met since travelling this beautiful Island, an energetic smile and warming laugh, we spoke for nearly an hour over coffee and cake discussing our childhood’s, adult life and how similar our paths have been, despite being other sides of the world. Now onto the cooking, the ingredients are incredible and the majority hand picked from the grounds you’re cooking on! Ron talked about the process of everything and how it grows, down to the cooking, you can see that his passion is pure and wants you to enjoy Balinese food as much as he does, and boy it tastes good! The lemon grass chicken satay was my favourite - so it’s a good job he gives you all of the recipes to take home and recreate! I can’t wait to show Ron from the other side of the world, the same dishes he created here! Don’t miss out on this cooking class, don’t miss out on Ron. One of the highlights of our tour! Thanks Ron, see you soon! Chef Dom ❤️

You have to experience this for yourself!! - If you only had one chance to do anything in the whole of Bali I would strongly recommend coming and completing this cooking class experience. The service was 10/10. Very personal and informative not just about Balinese foods but the Balinese way of life. Ron sat with us drinking tea and traditional Balinese snacks showing us around A traditional Balinese home, informing us on the family dynamics, religion, schooling and so much more. - he was happy to answer any questions we had and never made us feel we asked a silly question - which knowing me I probably did 😂 The cooking session was very immersive. We watched Ron demonstrate and then we had a turn. He was a very calm and patient educator with excellent English but he also made it so fun! Singing & dancing as we mixed and chopped foods with LOTS of laughter. 🤍 90% of the produce you use is home grown at the centre. It was very impressive to see all the different fruits he is able to grow and his knowledge of all the care and nourishment each plant needs also. Myself and my partner know this place is 100000% on our ‘must do’s when we return to Bali along with recommending this to anyone we can whilst we are still in Bali and when we are home. We can’t wait to meet Ron again - truly feels part of a Balinese family 🇮🇩🤍 🎶” Happy in Bali, happy in wales la la la la la” 🎶

5 stars across the board - This was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was relaxing, Ron and Ketut were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Which was a plus being that I went solo! I would suggest everyone stop by during their travels!

Highlight of our Bali holiday - We had an amazing cookery experience with Ron. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the local market to sample the tropical fruits. We were then privileged to visit a local Balinese community where we sampled local snacks and coffee and Ron gave us an insite into local village life.We then cooked 7 different Bali dishes in clean beautiful surroundings. Ron’s teaching and explanations were clear and easy to follow throughout each dish including soup, chicken , fish , vegetables and crepes . The meal was plentiful and tasted delicicious. We were given details of all the recipes. Ron couldn’t have been more hospitable and helpful. Definitely a highlight of our stay in Bali and we would definitely recommend

Private cooking class - I went with my best Friend, it was really really nice. We were only two because for this day nobody else booked a cooking class. We first got shown around how Balinese people are lining and could ask questions about it. Then we started cooking, we did cut evening ourselves (with a bit help 😂) and then we cooked. It was really fun, and there was no problem that I don’t eat meat, we cooked both with meat and without. It was a really relaxing cooking and we had really fun.

Just great! - Best cooking class I’ve ever done. Ron is a very nice, funny host and picked me up by scooter in the morning. We visited the local market and I could try some fruits and basically everything I wanted. We headed on to Ron’s place and I got an insight about the local living. We had a cup of tea, some local sweets and Ron told me everything about living here and answered all my questions. I learned a lot about Balinese culture and met his lovely dog Kiki. Heading on to the cooking class: it was a lot of fun. We made 7 local dishes and all of them tasted so so good. It is a very clean open space, surrounded by the beautiful and peaceful nature close to Ubud. Veggies, soup, satay, sambal, it is a mix of everything and it is really a hands on class which I enjoyed a lot. Highly recommend!
