Atypical show - We had a great time, impressed by the strength of the songs and the beauty of the costumes. It is worth the visit, we enjoyed the site which is superb

Temple YES!!! Food NO!!! - The temple is very beautiful and dance really worth it. The monkeys that live in the temple are naughty and have a hand of stealing stuff. But that shouldn't spoil the fun. We had booked with food and pick up at the hotel. The taxi was very good the driver also told a lot about the things we passed. The food against that was terrible. We came into a restaurant where it was like you were in vegas. The food had little taste and to top it off I got bali belly here. Go to the dance and the temple but don't go to the food.

Impressive show - but super crowded - The temple complex is not particularly spectacular, but the location on the steep coast. Lots of monkeys live here, which can also be eaten with caution, because they steal all the stuff - more aggressive than those in the monkey forest of Ubud! The Kecak dance itself was very impressive. However, the arena is getting so crowded that I briefly considered getting claustrophobic. There is no crack left - I found that a bit uncomfortable, because the emergency exits are also occupied.

Kecak dance was interesting, but crowded. - The Temple grounds were amazing, the Kecak dance was super crowded. They pack the auditorium and you need to have arranged a ride home prior to arrival.

Absolute chaos - Told to line up at 6.45, line starts forming at 6.10. Waited patiently then hundreds of people just pushed their way to front and it became a dangerous crowd of people pushing to get in. Little legroom for performance. I’m surprised they do this twice a day as there is zero order. Had we have known, we would never had gone. Absolute chaos. Performance was ok, nothing amazing.

Wouldn’t bother - Not worth it in the slightest. I went with an open mind. We arrived early to look at the temple which the views are spectacular without comparison. Apart from the 2 diggers and construction machinery that’s cutting away the cliff so tourists can get to another beach when there’s loads of perfectly good beaches already. Anyway I digress. The temple it self is pretty underwhelming and long and crowed and hot. No where to buy water etc. THe monkeys well I thought they were funny and probably my highlight of the whole thing. If you listen and read put your hats phones and glasses away then they don’t bother you. After an hour we queued for the dance the 7pm showing. And it was complete unorganised chaos. I’ve never witnessed anything so completely moronic in all my life. Pushing shoving 4-5 different queues. For over an hour. Started late finished late. Seating was uncomfortable. Packed so much people sat on the floor. Waaayyy over sold. The dance itself was ok. No much fire involved most of the time was just dancing around the same 4-5 torches. Costumes were great and the actors were great but on the whole pretty boring. And ruined from everything else. We left early as it wasn’t worth going through all that again to try and get transport out of there and everyone leaving at the same time. No matter where you are travelling from don’t waste your time. There are plenty of other cultural things to do where you don’t have all the s**t

Absolutely Horrible !! - The cliff views of the place are amazing, however, there are WAY too many people to even take one photo .. we weren’t even able to get in the line to see the dance because they were too overcrowded & we couldn’t even get in !! The temple is the most disgusting place I’ve been to .. I’ve been to many worship and holy places around the world, but this one surprisingly smelt SO BAD I almost threw up so many times. I don’t recommend even going there to be honest, skip this one it’s not worth it, they do these dances in other places that are much cleaner.

Don't book here - DO NOT book here! IT'S CHEAPER LOCALLY. The queue is exactly that long and the price is 5 euros lower. The show itself is great, just come 60 minutes early, buy a ticket and then watch temples. But fit your glasses etc. Up. The monkeys like glittery stuff very much
