Do it! It's a no brainer - Given the value, traffic and time restraints of a port day here it's the only way to see so much in so little time. Not only do YOU choose where and what to do but you get to see the real Indonesia and get to know at least one Indonesian, your driver. Compared to any ship shore excursion it's a no brainer.

Guided drive from arrival to lodging - We arrived at Benoa cruise port and disembarkation was quicker than expected. Wayan was able to come pick us up within minutes of contact instead of time scheduled toured us around per our interest giving us information on each area he stopped at. Took us to our lodging at end of day. Wayan was engaging and informative giving us a good i production to Bali.

Hire this sweet guy! Made our trip wonderful! - Driving (and parking) in Bali are really hard. Hiring a driver who can tell you about what you are seeing is a no brainer. We had a great time and would definitely hire Debobo again!

Much better than driving yourself! - Driving in Bali takes a long time due to traffic. Bring something to help pass the time in the car. Like a book or puzzle games for kids

Rio Bali Tours - expect driver only - Kadek our driver for the day was friendly, courteous and tried his best. Poor fello drove 2 hours from Ubud to Nysa Dua to collect us and take us to Ubud. 4 trips up and back in one day. Booking site should ask for basic info on what or where you want to go for day. Driver had very basic English and could not hold even basic discussion or understand simple requests. Therefore we could not ask question about Bali when we were in car for 5+ hours. Asked about somewhere to eat / food / lunch and he could not understand, so we went 8 hours with no food. Great service if you know where you are going and want to be dropped and collected. Only

A day in traffic - First of all, the nice car shown in the ad was not the car we had. Ours was old and the AC barely worked. Our guide Kadek was kind but first thing he said was that his English was bad. The ad also said an English speaker would be our guide/ driver. We reserved an 8 hour tour but let them know we could only do 5 hours. I provided a list of few things we wanted to do (3 quick stops) and the time that remained we wanted to try Luwak coffee and then go places to take photos: temples, rice fields... that were close by. We didn't want to spend the day driving since we had limited time. We made our first three quick stops and that was great. Then he took us to Luwak Coffee. It was a 45 minute drive (tons of traffic all the time, on tiny pot hole filled roads) but it was worth it! The place was great and it was a wonderful once in a lifetime experience! Then he drove about 30 minutes further away to a temple which was underwhelming and not photo worthy. Plus, my boyfriend has back issues, slow walker, and this place was full of stairs. About 75 to get to the temple so he couldn't even go. And now we're over an hour away from our home base. Most of the roads in Bali are in horrible condition and the traffic is non-stop! Many of the “roads” look like bike lanes, but there were cars driving on them. We went down one tiny toad that had a one way sign (the only one I saw) and drove up it with all the cars coming down honking at us but letting us by. Then a big truck came toward us and he made our driver backup out of the way. Everything was great through the Luwak coffee, then it was just a waste of our time.
