Highlights
  • Uluwatu Temple - Uluwatu Temple or Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of six key temples believed to be Bali spiritual pillars. Is renowned for its magnificent location, perched on top of a steep cliff approximately 70 meters above sea level. This temple also shares the splendid sunset backdrops as that of Tanah Lot Temple, another important sea temple located in the island western shores. Pura Luhur Uluwatu is definitely one of the top places on the island to go to for sunset delights, with direct views overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean and daily Kecak dance performances. Balinese architecture, traditionally designed gateways and ancient sculptures add to Uluwatu Temple appeal.

Nature paintings - What a trip! The Uluwatu Sunset Trip was simply amazing. Started with this super chill drive to Uluwatu Temple – the views were killer. Ther tour guide was awesome, super friendly, and knew so much about the place. Then, the sunset. Oh man, it was like nature's own painting. The Kecak Dance Show – those chants and the whole vibe…. To top it off, I had a scrumptious seafood dinner in a cozy and deli restaurant nearby. Perfect end to a perfect day. Totally worth it!

Merusaka Nusa Dua - Great value, top quality - Merusaka Hotel at Nusa Dua is top quality and good value. Promo shots don't show the beautiful gardens and there are plenty of lounges by the sea, including plenty in the shade. Staff at the hotel is amazing.

Worth the money. - I hate that I’m giving this four stars. Especially since the experience itself was a lot of fun. Wayan, my driver was so nice. He picked me up on time and was my personal photographer the entire way. He took me to a coffee plantation that was really nice and when we arrived at the temple He pointed out the best spots to take pictures. He even advised me to put away my belongings because the monkeys would steal whatever they see. Wayan was extremely helpful navigating the crowd and explaining the culture and whenever I had a question he not only explained it to me at times would compare the culture to my own. He was an absolute gentleman and watch out for me the entire time as well. The reason why I took away one start is because when we arrived at the restaurant the waitress was not very welcoming. I was not interested in ordering any alcohol or anything additional and I don’t think she liked that. Also, she placed my meal in front of me without explaining what I would be eating. Mind you, it was in the evening and very dark on the beach. It was so dark I had to use the light on my phone to figure out what was on my plate. I get that eating on a beach would be inviting however the lighting was poor and the staff was horrible. I honestly didn’t even eat most of the food, probably because I didn’t know what it was. They restaurant did give a heft portion though whatever it was.

Great photos - We were a group of 4 women. Enjoyed the experience. Our driver Gusti was very friendly and helpful. Had lots of little hints that helped to improve our experience. Beautiful site and enjoyed the fire show. It was nice to eat on the beach. I didn't enjoy the seafood but the others in the group did.
