Great show, awesome guide! Thank you Surya - We really loved the Kecak and Fire Dance show. Surya was very friendly and explained much about his culture on the way to Uluwatu. He was helpful and parked close to the event, so it was super easy to leave later. Buying our tickets, defending us from cheeky monkeys who knew exactly what they were doing, and taking us to some epic cliff and Indian ocean views and photos of our family—this experience was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Bali. From the moment we met him, Surya's warm hospitality and extensive knowledge of his culture were evident. Surya shared fascinating insights about the history and significance of the Kecak dance. He also patiently answered all our questions, making this not just a sightseeing trip but an enriching cultural experience. The Kecak and Fire Dance show at Uluwatu. And there's no better way to fully immerse yourself in traditional Balinese art form than with Surya as your guide.

Fantastic - I was very lucky to have an amazing tour guide! From pick up, to education of the temple and ensuring I had a good spot for the show. The tour guide was amazing.

Not 100% worth it - The dance started with them chanting around fire. There is a scene where fire gets kicked around and that’s the coolest part. They’re mainly telling a story from India. While this was cool, I wouldn’t say it was 100% worth it. We came come Seminyak and spent 4.5 hours just driving. The actual fire dance was only 1 hour. I was thankful it wasn’t longer because they pack us into that stadium like sardines and it’s so hot! I’d definitely skip if you’re coming from Seminyak. Traffic is brutal

Great experience, Arev was awesome driver - The dance was a great experience, we were late booking so had second show but seeing the sunset from the temple was great. Be aware of long waits in line. Our driver Arev was awesome and was very handy when dealing with monkeys at the temple. Thank you

Overrated experience - Overcrowded - Terrible traffic to get to site - over an hour on bad roads - and return was equally terrible. Very hard uncomfortable seating Guides had not prepurchased tickets so lots of hanging around waiting. Monkeys at temple were obnoxious and dangerous. No reserved seating - dangerous crowding with no way of moving after seated. Only the monkey dancer was worth watching! Better described as a pantomime with boring chanting.

Not a tour - Do NOT book this tour. This is NOT a tour, it’s just transportation. The guide did not speak English. There was no explanation provided for the temple or the dance (again, not a tour). We had to wait in a massive line for the Kecak dance (even though the description on Tripadvisor states “guaranteed to skip the lines”). The entire experience took 4.5 hours, over 1 hour was waiting to get into the dance (waiting was an absolute waste of time, we should’ve arrived at the temple an hour later to just avoid this 1-hour waiting period). After waiting, we had to slowly shuffle through an over-crowded line to get into the dance (another 30 mins at least). The driver tried to seat us in the back, when there was still a few seats in the front row. Not sure how this was possible, given the line, but if we had followed him, we would’ve had the worst seats at the dance. The temple was picturesque, the monkeys are cool (but aggressive), and the dance was great, however; I feel mislead and ripped off. You’re better off getting dance tickets online yourself or booking an actual tour with a reputable company (there were actual tour guides at the temple).
