Bagamoyo is a seafront town established in the closing years of the 18th century; it represents continued habitation from an early (8th century) Swahili settlement, Kaole. The German colonial government selected it as the capital of German East Africa, positioning it as a crucial trading hub for the Germans on the East African coastline, on the western edge of the Indian Ocean, during the late 19th and early 20th century

Coast at Best - We had this tour on a short notice as we could not go on Safari because of the rain, Jacqueline advised that we went for the Bagamoyo tour and this tour was rich in details. The hospitality and warmness of the coastal people was heartfelt thank you team

History at peak - We contacted Jacqueline and she advised of the Bagamoyo ancient city tour, as history enthusiasts. My husband and I had the best of time with Enroute Africa, learning of an ancient city Soo prominent in it's ancient glory

An exclusive historical tour. - After getting blown out by the rich history, culture and artistic designs made by the wood carvers and the old historical buildings we visited in our city tour I thought I had reached my fill.
The guide (Emmanuel) noticing our love for history recommended this tour for us. The trip away from the city was itself an experience of a lifetime, let alone reaching the infamous old slave town. Much hasnt changed, even the people it seems are still latched to their old traditional ways making the city as ancient as is.
