Safe/comfortable way to travel from Paris to Omaha beach and St Michel - Safe and comfortable bus trip from Paris to Omaha beach and St. Michel Stops at clean rest stops for coffee and snacks along the way. Left at 7 am returned at 9-10 pm. Long day but worth getting to these spots. General history of all stops so if you are a history buff and want more verbal guide knowledge read up before you go. This was a great tour to get you to the spots. Suggestions to operator maybe pass out some literature or show small Historical movie or audio on bus ride.

Finding yourself on the... - Being at the scene of the Normandy landings did not leave us indifferent, because it brought us back to the harsh reality of this war. The visit of Mont St-Michel made us full of it, it is impressive to see this beautiful place that has gone through so many years. Our guide and driver were charming and attentive, we appreciated their kindness.

Great option to see 2 sites in 1 day! - If you want to make the most out of 1 day this is the trip. 2 stops at the beaches of Normandy, Omaha beach and German bunker visit. Then on to Mont St Michel. It was amazing to see the first views of the Abbey as you first approach the area. Wow, did not disappoint! Yes it’s a long day. Yes it’s a lot to pack into one day, Yes I wish I had more time time at each place, BUT if you’re short on time and want to see both of these amazing places in one day trip, this is a great option. Plus by breaking up the day with visits to 2 different areas, it made the drive seem much quicker. Our tour guide Ricardo made sure to make this a great trip for each and every person in the group

Emotional and Breathtaking Journey - This tour was amazing! We started at Omaha Beach, where the guide told us all about the D-Day landings and the incredible bravery of the soldiers. It was very moving to stand at the very spot where history was made. Then we headed to Mont Saint-Michel, which was absolutely breathtaking. The guide gave us a great tour of the Abbey, explaining its rich history. The organization was flawless, and we had plenty of time to explore both places. I would absolutely recommend this trip—it was worth every penny!

Emotional and Awe-Inspiring Day Worth Every Penny - The trip to Omaha Beach and Mont Saint-Michel was an emotional and awe-inspiring experience. Our guide did an excellent job explaining the importance of Omaha Beach during WWII and the significance of the landings. After this historical site, we visited Mont Saint-Michel, and I was blown away by its beauty. The whole day was well-paced, allowing us to fully enjoy both locations. The lunch at Mont Saint-Michel was also a great experience. I highly recommend this tour—it’s packed with history, beauty, and great organization. Worth every penny!

Could only give a 3 star... - Could only give a 3 star because our guide was not well versed in the history of D-Day and WWII. He was very nice and tried hard to relate with all the tour group. The problem was that Viatour out sourced the tour with Amigo Tours. A Spanish company. It was a Spanish and English tour. Which was fine, we wanted English. Our guide also had 2 guides ‘in training’ with him. They were also very nice but not aware of historic details. My daughter and I were giving them information. At Omaha beach we saw many other tour groups. Their guides had binders of before and after photos of the area. They provided much more accurate information to their groups. The trip was long yet very beautiful. Saint Michel was spectacular! I would recommend this tour but only with another tour provider.

Don't chose this trip!! - It was amazing seeing Normandy and the Mont Saint-Michel trip was beautiful. The tour was advertised as "The guide will provide in-depth insights into the strategic significance of Omaha Beach and the pivotal role it played in the liberation of Europe during World War II." We had a guide that was very nice but never provided any stories or history of any of the events that took place at Normandy nor any history of Mont Saint-Michel. He only told us when and where to meet to get back at the van. Additionally, we left at 7am and did not get back until midnight, the trip was way too long in a cramped and uncomfortable van. I would not recommend this tour to anyone!

Not a great experience - Be aware that this isn’t a “tour.” It’s a transportation service that takes you to the listed sites and brings you back round trip from Paris. Our guide was friendly but did not share hardly any info about the places we visited. He spoke literally three sentences at Omaha Beach, and then showed us four slides on a presentation on his laptop on the bus - the photos did not even load and the laptop battery was almost dead so it did not really provide any value or enhancement to the visit. The bus was quite old compared to other tour busses - it was a faded red bus that has seen better days but honestly that part didn’t bother me as our group was small so we had plenty of room to sit. At the end, we made a stop that was supposed to be 30 minutes so they could change drivers. We sat there for well over an hour and were dropped off at our starting place at 10:45 at night. Really disappointing experience. We weren’t even offered water to drink and we were on that bus for 4 hrs each way. I would not recommend Amigo Tours based on this entire experience. Also…they offer an add on of tickets to see the Abbey at around $100 more per person. This is ridiculous. I’m thankful I didn’t pay this because I was able to book my own for $15 per person direct through the website for Mont Saint Michel. The only benefit of this tour was that they got us to the sites that I wanted to see and I was able to do Mont Saint Michel and D-day sites in one trip.

Waste of a full day! - You only have 15 minutes at the first stop, 15 minutes break at gas station to grab food and use restroom, no lunch stop, 30 minutes at 2nd stop and 1.5 hrs at the Mt St Michel and Abbey of which you need to eat so no chance to go to the Abbey.

Not a Tour, Just a Long Bus Ride - This tour was a waste of a day in France. This was our fourth and final tour for the week and it might be the worst tour I’ve ever been on. The “guide” was not bilingual. We specifically booked a an English tour. He did not speak fluent English. The only history/explanations we received were short paragraphs read from a sheet. The guide had another English speaking guest read the paper to the group. It was intended to be a 4 hour ride to Omaha Beach it took us over 6 hours. We took two breaks, the first one was thirty minutes into the ride and completely unnecessary, the second bus stop was intended to be 20 minutes but ended up being 40 because our driver disappeared. Because of the delays, we were only given 10 minutes to spend at Omaha Beach. At the second stop, Pointe Du Hoc, the guide’s only comment on the bunker was “a lot of people died here”. It was so disappointing to be in such an historical site and not receive any history. We walked out with the same knowledge that we walked in with, nothing more. Mont Saint Michele Abbey was incredible but we arrived much later than intended. We didn’t arrive there until close to 4:00 pm, this was our lunch destination. We were all hungry and had to sacrifice time in the city in order to eat due to poor time management of the tour. The paid water closets in the city were closed and the public ones were disgusting. The guide said on the way back we would stop 2 hours in, it was three hours before we stopped. This was basically terribly inefficient bus ride, do not waste your day, do not waste your money, find a better tour and avoid this one at all costs. You don’t get any history, local stories or information.
