Loved it! - Everyone is super nice and friendly. The piggies were so cute and they let you hold a baby one to take pictures with. Well worth the price. The island was nice to relax in.

Hogging all the Beach - This trip is a must for all animal lovers. It is how it looks, pigs of all shapes & sizes on a tropical island in and out of the water. The area to share with the pigs is not very large but still an oddly enjoyable experience. The staff provide food with wood picks to feed the pigs and give you plenty of time to take photos and relax. Unfortunately there is no toilet so make sure you go before your trip. Pearl island was next where food was provided (rice, BBQ chicken & veg) and then time to explore the island lighthouse and soak up the sun in the many sun loungers on hand. This was all provided with our cruise ship excursion so i am not sure if all this is included with all tours.

Pig Beach, highly recommend! - This is a “must do” when visiting Nassau. The tour companies have it timed so they’re aren’t overwhelming crowds, you can wander among the pigs and actually enjoy the experience. You have to lure the pigs into the water with treats, and they readily comply. Lots of photo ops, lots of fun!

Swimming Pigs and Pearl Island Beach Escape - We booked this excursion through our cruise ship, Celebrity Eclipse. We loved swimming with the pigs, just loved it! The pigs have their own private island, where they live in the lap of pig luxury, these pigs have it good! So the process is that you are taken by boat from the port over to Pearl Island, then you transfer into a smaller boat which takes you the very short ride to where the pigs live. Only a small number of guest are allowed on the pig island at a time. The pigs do definitely swim, if you get in the water with the cup of pig snacks first, then they follow you in. Most of the guests preferred to stay on the water's edge with the pigs running all around us, but a few guests did get into the water and pigs would follow willingly. The way the boats were running that day, we had a full hour with the pigs, which was great. Then, the boat picks you up and takes you across the water to Pearl Island itself, for lunch and time at whichever of the many beaches there are on Pearl Island. The island is very long - you need to walk to the very end to see all of the various beaches, don't just pick the first one you see. At the very end of the island, is an iguana experience - you do pay extra if you want to go in and hold the iguana for a photo shoot, but otherwise you can just watch. So as I said, sprinkled throughout the length of the island are beaches, bars, bathrooms. We found all of the bathrooms to be clean. There were loads of chaises available at the beaches. There are also cabanas which looked very nice, with your own steward, bar service etc, but we did not access those. The lunch which was included was fine, nothing to get excited about, but it was fine, fuel to keep you going. We've been to the Blue Lagoon and we far and away prefer Pearl Island - it's smaller, more intimate, not nearly as crowded.

Exactly what you'd expect. - Pearl island was really pretty. Water was crystal clear. Paddle boards and kayaks were available. However know if you have littles the current was just present enough that if they don't know what they're doing they could get pulled a little. Its slow so no major concern, just keep your eyess peeled. Lunch provided was really tasty. Feeding the pigs was a fun and different experience. Overall, what we expected out of the day.

Ok - Experience different, spend the day on a beach and then separate 45 minutes to will another island interact with the pigs.

Not worth it. - Booked a Pearl Island and swimming with pigs excursion through a cruise line. The representative from Pearl Island met us outside the ship and had everyone line up to get wristbands. As he was asking everyone how many were in their groups he laughed at me when I told him just 1. Why is someone traveling alone funny to him? The trip to the island itself was ok. Once on the island, we were told to come back at 1 pm for the boat to swim with pigs. I walked around the island a bit, and checked out the “lighthouse” which was obviously just a lookout tower and was never an actual lighthouse. There was a table at the top to sit at but the table top was not attached to the base as I found out when I set my bag down on it and the table top and my bag fell to the ground. Went to the little gift shop and was told the credit card machine was down, didn’t bring enough cash with me to buy any of the overpriced souvenirs. There was no designated smoking area so people were just smoking all over the island including the dining area where they serve lunch. I swam for a little while at the small beach then found a lounge chair till it was time to go to Pig Beach. 1 pm came and everyone had also bought the same tour went to the boats but they would not let us out on the pier to get on them. We all watched as the employees from the boats went and got lunch then sat on the boat eating before they would let us on the boat to go across to Pig Beach around 1:30 pm. Once we finally got to Pig Beach we were greeted by the employees there who all had nicknames, most of which had to do with smoking drugs. We found out the pigs only swim to get the food that the participants take out to the water. When all the food is gone they all go back into the shade of trees but it was fun to feed them. They don’t really like to be petted, but they tolerate it while going from person to person looking for snacks. We had about an hour at Pig Beach before the boat came back to return us to Pearl Island. The excursion description specifically said lunch was served after the visit to Pig Beach so we only had about 25 minutes to eat lunch before the 3 pm boat back to the cruise terminal due to them being late to take us across. The boat back to the cruise terminal did leave on time. When we returned to the cruise terminal they did not drop us off on the pier next to the ship where they picked us up, we were dropped off right next to a bunch of street vendors outside the cruise terminal. The aggressive vendors were nearly getting on the boat trying to sell hair braiding and other trinkets before we could even step off the boat. It was about a half-mile walk through all the vendors back to the cruise ships.

Be aware-not worth it for the $$$ - No worth it for the money, they cheated us 1 hrs and snorkeling and the Island activities were very low. Not recommending this tour.

Left behind and berated by staff - ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Only good thing was seeing the pigs, and the “beach access”. Even that is a stretch. Waste of money. Definitely rundown, beach chairs were uncomfortable. No shade. Pool was closed down. Drinks over priced. “Lunch” was disgusting. Pigs were cute but they did not swim. All the water activities were closed due to wind which was not their fault but then proceeded to let people take kayaks anyway, and we watched people get stuck in the currents and nearly pulled out to sea if they did not grab a hold of the pier they would have been gone. Had to fight to get on a boat back to the port where cruise ship is. Literally almost missed our cruise ship. They had to notify the ship after fighting with the attitude filled attendants. Was about 35 minutes late and had to get escorted back to ship since we booked with our ship. Our ship handled the situation very well. Definitely don’t book unless you do it with your ship otherwise you’ll get left behind. Very disappointed. Would have rather have used our time doing something else while on our vacation. I may never go on another excursion again, thanks to them. Just a warning.

Terrible - The pig experience is not swimming with the pigs, it’s feeding them on the beach. You don’t receive and food or water for yourself and it was extremely hot. If you want to go back to pearl island early that is not an option you have to wait for the boat to pick you up. The pigs are aggressive. Pearl island didn’t have much to do and again for the price we couldn’t even get water. We were on a cruise but because we booked through Viator we were last to get a back to the ships. We waited over an hour in the heat with no water, to get on a boat back. Would NOT recommend this tour especially not in the summer!
