Cairo – Bahariya – White Desert

Bahariya Oasis - Begin the day with a van journey to Bahariya Oasis, approximately a 4-hour drive, 340 kilometers from Cairo. Bahariya is the closest oasis to Cairo, encircled by black hills composed of ferruginous quartzite and dolerite. It is renowned for its 398 mineral and sulfur springs, some reaching temperatures of up to 45 degrees, known for their therapeutic properties. Arrive in Bawiti, the capital of the Oasis, situated on a hillside.

Black Desert - After lunch, embark on a tour to explore the Black Desert surrounding Bahariya Oasis, where the iron content is responsible for the black rocks.

Valley of Agabat - Walk to discover Gabal el Marsos (Divided Mountain), then drive towards the small Bedouin village of El Hez. Continue to the White Desert, 160 km on/off-road, stopping at Crystal Mountain & Agabat el Sharkia by sunset. Enjoy the sunset as the team prepares the camping area, followed by a campfire and BBQ dinner. Overnight camping.

White Desert

El-Santa Acacia Tree - Wake up from a serene night, have breakfast, and embark on an exciting adventure in the White Desert area with an expert driver. Go off-road to visit the big and small valleys, enjoy the magic spring in the middle of nowhere, then visit El Santa tree. Traverse the sands of the White Desert with its chalky, cream landscape and wind-carved mushroom-shaped formations resembling human and animal faces.

White Desert - This evening, watch the sunset over the stunning desert sands, dine under the stars, and camp overnight.

White Desert – Bahariya Oasis

Western Desert - Wake up from a tranquil night, have breakfast, and return across the White Desert to Bahariya. Check in at Ahmad Safari Camp, enjoy lunch, and rest for 2 hours. Then, embark on an afternoon tour of Bahariya’s top sights, including El Meftella Mountain, Salty Lake, Dest (Pyramid Mountain), and Maghrafa Mountain. Stroll to Bir el Ghaba & el Matar warm springs with an opportunity for bathing.

English Mountain Bahariya Oasis - If time allows, visit English Mountain by sunset. This old English outpost was used by British troops for its strategic views of the area. Overnight at Safari Camp Hotel.

White Desert/Cairo

Bahariya Oasis Guide - Wake up from a peaceful and beautiful night, have breakfast, and then head back to Cairo.
