There are absolutely astounding works of art on the walls of these monumental buildings that will amaze you. From simple child-like drawings on the walls made in vegetable dyes and mineral pigments to the ancient art of ​​KAAVI made with a paste of soil and charcoal filled into an etched design, these walls are, literally, worth a thousand words.
Join us on a uniquely different tour of the churches of Santa Monica, Our Lady of Rosary, Royal Chapel of St. Anthony and the ruins of St Augustine and listen to these ancient art walls speak.

Tour around old, Christian Churches and Art Gallery - Very informative and interesting tour around churches within easy walking distance of each other.
Recommend particularly if looking for deeper knowledge on the saints and the meaning behind decorations of Christian artefacts.

Cultural trip - Very nice experience. Traditional food and we learned a lot about history 😊. We tried traditional food and walked around the city together. Very nice and the season was great as many flowers bloomed.p

Fascinating tour of a beautiful place - Fantastic experience with Adolfina! I learnt so much, and was really impressed by the history and architecture of Old Goa. I'd strongly recommend this tour to anyone.

Wonderful unexpected experience! - I’ve done two tours with Soul Traveller, the Latin Quarter and the Christian Art Trail, both with Adolfina as host. The Latin Quarter, we were a small group of 5.
We walked at a leisurely pace with Adolfina pointing out details about the history and the architecture of the houses. It was a treat to enter Mr Iris’s home and hear about how the family live and use the home. Thoroughly enjoyed tasting the local snacks on both trips. On the second tour it ended up being a very private trip with just Adolfina and me! I had a marvellous time despite the heat. I learned so much about the history and influences upon the development of Goa and also about local lives. Adolfina engages with the local
people giving us a real insight to their lives. The highlight of my 5 days in Goa was Adolfina driving me around on her scooter including all the way back to my hotel over an hour away. Very exciting🤩 and such an amazing experience seeing Goa by scooter. Thank you.

A visit to remember - At the onset, I would like to put on record that Adolfina was a great host.
I had been to Goa a few times before but this time it has been different. I got to learn a bit about the Goan culture. The visit to old city, was really memorable for me. Added the visit to Panjim and moving through the narrow lanes of well preserved landmarks, it was a very special experience. All this was possible due to our guide for today, Adolfina. I would specially like to thank her.

The Christian Art Trail at Old Goa with Priyanka Phadte - Priyanka weaved stories in and around the local history, architecture, and cultural migrations. She knows just the right timing and place for every story, reference, and to draw connections. Not a dull moment with these stories and so much beauty in the churches she took me to!

An enriching experience - learned so much! - I’ve been to old Goa three times and I’m very keen on Christian art but Adolfina showed us many, many things we had not seen before or even realised were there - we were blown away by this tour! Adolfina is a very interesting and knowledgeable guide able to tell us many stories and point out so many unusual things we simply could not have got out of any guidebook. I feel so privileged to have done this tour meeting nuns and seeing inside so many beautiful structures. Thank you so much Adolfina! I hope we can meet again one day. I feel so inspired to find out more about the history of Christian’s in Goa.

A day at MOCA - The trail was amazingg! My second time around on this trail and loved it. Adolfina was amazing and very kind. Got to learn a lot and see a lot. Couldn’t have asked for a better ambassador on this trail. Even on a repeat trail there’s always so much to learn and experience. Ended with a great goan snack and chai! Def recommend to everyone.
