A perfect day at the beach! - Our guides were in line early to ensure we could get into balandra beach. We met them there for a lovely kayak trip thru the mangroves and then for some snorkeling in the coral reefs. Next a hike around the mushroom rock and on to tecolate beach for a snack and a swim. It was truly a perfect day and our guides were knowledgeable and safety conscious. Highly recommended!

Balandra Beach Adventure - 5 stars - We had a fantastic time kayaking, snorkeling, and hiking at Balandra. This beautiful area truly came alive thanks to the tour, which offered experiences we couldn't have achieved on our own.
Our guides, Alberto and Daniel, were exceptional! Alberto led the tranquil kayak tour through the mangroves, where we spotted many birds, and he made sure we were well-prepared with a clear demonstration of the kayak and equipment. We then snorkeled and enjoyed a refreshing swim at a small reef. The tour concluded with a lovely hike led by Daniel to nearby beaches, where we learned about the flora, indigenous peoples, and local landmarks.
Alberto and Daniel made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout. They were both knowledgeable and friendly, making our adventure even more enjoyable.
Lastly, a big shout-out to the ceviche chef—the lunch was delicious!

Explore Balandra 3 Different Ways with Lovely Guides! - We were also supposed to do the Ocean Safari with MTA but that was cancelled due to windy weather. 😠i recommend first time travellers to book for a longer trip to account for bad weather.
We subsequently decided to do the Balandra kayak, snorkel and hike. This tour was hosted by Alberto and Daniel who were also very friendly and knowledgeable. They were also more than happy to give recommendations for other activities/restaurants. The kayak was very peaceful and there was only one other couple. We were basically the only tour group in the mangroves. I’ve never seen clear water mangroves before so that was cool! The kayak last for maybe 2-3 hours. This was followed by snorkelling at a small rock reef for 30 minutes. Lastly, there was the hike to see the various beaches around Balandra. This was around 2 hours. Overall, this was a good experience to immerse yourself within Balandra. I can imagine that this activity can be bit tiring for some though!

Chill hike with friendly knowledgeable guide from honest company that genuinely cares about creating a good experience. - My guide Sergio showed me all the highlights of Balandra Beach and trails while tailoring the hike to my interests. He even tacked on a side trip to Tecolito Beach to help me look for birds. Sergio is also a marine biologist and shared lots of expert information in a way that felt like a friend sharing interesting tidbits about his hometown.
At the end of the tour, Sergio gave me excellent restaurant recommendations that led me to a fantastic lunch.
The company is also honest and genuinely cares about creating a good experience for its clients. The company called me two days before to let me know wind forecasts were unfavorable for the snorkel and kayak portions of the tour. I told them I wanted to still do the hike and they were more than happy to run the hike with just me attending. Without asking, they gave me a partial refund for the kayak and snorkel portions. Finally, also without prompting they connected me with a local birding guide who on short notice took me on an afternoon birding trip where I saw my target bird and a few more on my list. Service was similarly friendly and knowledgeable on that trip as well. These are good people who I would gladly go on a tour with again!

Not your usual tour - What a fabulous day. This wasn't a tour. This felt like hanging with some good friends who happen to be local and want to show you around. Loved it.

Gorgeous Balandra Beach Area!!! - Wonderful tour of the Balandra Beach area which is stunningly gorgeous! First a kayak tour with marine biologist Cheko (sp?) going through a mangrove with explanations of the various types and seeing lots of birds. We then headed to a deserted beach where we opted not to snorkel due to the wind but enjoyed it nonetheless. Then we switched to hiking up some hills with our guide Felipe with great views of the beaches and bays before descending down to skirt the rocky shoreline at water level and explore pristine beaches – he pointed out various plants and shrubs that flower even without any rainfall. Top it all off, we then hiked to another beach and had a tasty lunch of ceviche with our 2 guides. Awesome day!

Fantastic experience - We loved our day with Mexico Travel Adventure! It was a lot of fun to do multiple activities in such a beautiful area. The guides prioritized our time doing activities. They were incredibly knowledgeable researchers with extensive education in marine biology. Our water guide told us about his PhD research which helped us to understand his appreciation for the water. They went above and beyond to answer all of our questions about Balandra, the animals and exosystems, life in Baja, and more. I was impressed by our hiking guide who showed his respect for the area through his actions. He spoke to individuals not in our group about not walking on the protected dunes. He found someone to take home a fresh fish that washed up on the beach so it would not go to waste. He stopped to check on a man who appeared to be struggling with the rough terrain of our hike. With both guides, I felt I was in good hands but also that the guides would ensure the location was respected and preserved by the visitors. And how could I not mention the ceviche? The vegan lunch was good too! Thanks for a great trip!

Great tour!! - The tour was fantastic and very well run. Our guides Alberto and Sergio ( Chaco) were two of the nicest young men you will ever meet. Kayaking in the mangroves was great and we snorkeled around a small reef with many fish. The last thing was the hike and it was gorgeous. Breath taking views of the sea. It looked like we were in the Caribbean or Greece. It ended on a beautiful beach called Tecolote where we ate ceviche. They brought chairs for us and shade so it was really nice.
Also Fernando was the man that drove us to Balandra from town and he was also such a sweet man and funny!!

A Fabulous afternoon in Balandra and Tecolote - This was an amazing day, a sort of "triathlon" of activities. Sergio led us on a great kayaking trip into the mangroves, with great explanation and observation of the local ecosystem. From there we headed out to snorkel in the bay, which was great fun. Back on the beach, Daniel took over and led us on a fabulous hike along the coast from Balandra to Tecolate, The afternoon with a tasty and relaxing ceviche lunch on the beach with the two of them. they are dedicated and knowledgable pros. What an excellent experience! So worth it.
