Great experience!! - Recently reserved an event with Cabo Adventures with a trip to La Paz, I must say the experience was great due to the knowledgeable and experienced staff that hosted the event. The only thing that I would say I enjoyed the least was the duration of the drive, but it was safe because Mr. Diego ensured we were not put in harm and Raz provided the guest with multiple cultural and history lessons throughout the duration of the drive. Once we arrived to the La Paz we enjoyed a wonderful experience on the catamaran boat sightseeing and snorkeling. Mario and the crew were very helpful and provided a great meal with plenty of drinks upon request. Erik the photographer is amazing, he captured amazing photos throughout the event and made it easier to fully enjoy the beaches and snorkeling without worrying about photos on my own. Again, overall awesome experience, can't wait for the next adventure with this team again. Thank you team!

Tranquil, beauty and adventure all in 1! - Leo, Mario, Ari (photographer) were all amazing along with the chef and captain. The views and private beaches that you can’t reach via land are beautiful! The clear water and fish life was so pretty! We enjoyed snorkeling in both locations we stopped at along with kayaking in the second stop. The food and drinks were delicious! The boat has 2 decks you have access to with great seats in all locations and some shade for those that want out of the sun for a bit. Definitely worth the drive to see a new part of the country and the private and tranquility it offers.

Gorgeous waters but no sea lions - Well, the description said there would be swimming with sea lions and that didn’t happen. They never do that so that needs to be removed from the description. The driving is two to 2.5 hours each way.Balandras islands were gorgeous and snorkeling was wonderful. Crew was amazing.Jerry especially.

Very beautiful - Your destination is a 2 hour and a half drive from Cabo San Lucas. You then get transferred to a catamarán where you start your day at sea. You are served a breakfast/snack bento box and drinks are unlimited. I rate this a 4/5 stars because once we stopped at our first stop to snorkle every person who snorkeled got stung by jellyfish. My group is a family of 3. My 6 year old was very excited to snorkel but got attacked right away and was taken back to the boat immediately after. I decided to continue with the rest of the group but husband has to stay behind. Once we all came back from our snorkeling trip, we ALL had been stung atleast twice all around arms and legs. Balandra beach on the other hand was beautiful. It had no waves the water is crystal clear and Cabo adventure personal are there to make your experience better. They are very helpful and informative. Jerry was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable. They provide snorkeling gear, kayaks, life jackets and bring down a cooler with drinks for you to enjoy during your 1 hour free time stay at balandra. Other then the jellyfish which I am aware is out of control of the personal everything else was great.

Misadvertised/ could have been better - Would give 2.5 stars if we could. Firstly, the time spent in the van traveling to and from La Paz exceeds the time spent on the excursion itself. About 5 hours in the van, and 4.5 hours on the boat/ beach. Secondly, you do not get to swim with sea lions! The description for this excursion says you get to swim/ snorkel with sealions, but that information is incorrect. We still had fun, and our guides, Jerry and Mario were quite friendly and knowledgeable, but we felt the excursion was completely misadvertised. The food was okay. Very cheesy. They did keep the drinks flowing, which was appreciated. The last thing that is definitely worth mentioning is that the tiny jellyfish (aguamala) were awful! Many of us got stung, and my stings swelled and are still apparent all over my body, almost 2 weeks later! Thanks to Anthisan, they are slowly healing, but if the tour guides tell you the jellyfish stings are trivial, think again! I'd highly recommend bringing a long sleeved rashguard, and your own baking soda or vinegar to treat stings if you plan to get in the water. That said, if we had gotten to swim with sea lions, the stings probably would have been worth it.

Long journey to Balandra - Balandra Bay is definitely a beautiful spot with crystal clear water and good snorkeling but the time it takes to get there is a big detractor from the experience. We left our hotel in San Jose de Cabo at 7 am and didn’t get back til 8 pm making for a long 13 hour day with most of it on a big coach. It’s a solid 3+ hours from SJ de Cabo each way so if you don’t mind 6 hours of bus time for 2.5 hours on the water go for it. On the way home the bus made 9 separate hotel stops adding to the long journey so the actual snorkeling was a distant memory my then. The Adventures team was great, particularly Mario, who is high energy and very engaging and a great guide for the local region. Also be advised there is nothing to see in the La Paz port area. It is just a small port where you get on the boat - our hotel concierge presented a different experience and said the trip included a breakfast stop along the way (it doesn’t), 45 mins in La Paz to explore (there isn’t) and 2 hours there and back and it was much longer. For us it was far too much travel time.
