  • Monument to Mirza Alakbar Sabir - We will rendezvous with our guide and the company administration just outside the Old Town, near the Double Gates, where we will gather and await the rest of the group.
  • Khirdalan - After departing from Baku city, we will make a brief technical stop for a visit to the market, enjoy a cup of coffee, and use the restroom facilities.
  • Juma Mosque - The initial target for conquest should be the ancient city of Shemakha, which served as the capital of Azerbaijan centuries ago. One notable landmark in this city is the first mosque in Azerbaijan, constructed in the 8th century. This mosque has the capacity to accommodate up to 2000 worshippers simultaneously.
  • Hanging bridge - الجسر المعلق - As we continue our journey, we will make our way through the mountains and make a stop at the Ismailli region’s forest. A highlight of this stop is the hanging bridge that connects two high mountains, offering impressive views of the surrounding nature on either side.
  • Nokhur Gel Lake - Next on our itinerary is Gabala, a region known for hosting the highest peaks in Azerbaijan and Tufandaq Ski and Cable Car Resort. During our time there, you will have the opportunity to explore Nokhur Lake, a serene and lush oasis. Following our walk around the lake, an unforgettable meal awaits you right at the water’s edge.
  • Sheki Khan’s Palace - Now, we finally reached purpose of our tour - Sheki. The highlight of Sheki city is the Sheki Khans’ Palace, a remarkable architectural masterpiece painstakingly crafted by hand in the 18th century. This palace is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, showcasing the historical and cultural significance of the region.
  • Sheki Karvansaray - A visit to the 18th-century Caravansarai will transport you back to the bustling atmosphere of a Medieval Bazaar, where merchants from around the world gathered to trade their goods.
  • Sheki - Our itinerary includes a stop at the first sweet shop in Sheki, which opened in 1842. Additionally, you will have some free time to explore other local souvenir shops and more.
  • Baku - The journey back to Baku, which will take approximately 4-5 hours, will involve making 1 or 2 technical stops for visits to the market, a coffee break, and restroom breaks.

We will then continue on to Ismailli, a picturesque region known for its stunning nature and beautiful waterfalls. Next, we will make our way to Gabala, a popular tourist destination surrounded by the majestic Caucasus Mountains. You will have tasty lunch with national cuisine will make you satisfied after half of the day.

Finally, we will end our day in Sheki, a charming town famous for its stunning architecture, including the beautiful Sheki Khan’s Palace. We will also explore the local markets and delicious Azerbaijani pakhlava before heading back to our starting point.

Too much for one day! - The sites and scenes were great, but it was too much for a day and we did not get back to Baku until after midnight. I would recommend doing Sheki as a separate day trip as we did not get to see or do much there.
