- Bibi-Heybat Mosque - Bibi-Heybet (aunt of the stern) is a ‘pir’ located near the mountains of Baku within a large cemetery. The tomb of Bibi-Heybet, a relative of the Prophet Muhammad, is situated in a grand mosque frequently visited by Muslims. Bibi-Heybet is renowned for her miraculous healing powers. Many Muslims wish to be buried near this mosque.
- Mud Volcanoes - A mud volcano is a geological formation featuring a hole or depression in the earth’s surface, or a cone-shaped elevation with a crater, from which mud and gases are continuously or periodically erupted. These volcanoes are primarily found in oil-rich and volcanic regions.
- Gobustan Rock Art - Gobustan is one of the world’s most renowned historical and archaeological reserves, serving as an open-air museum with a vast collection of invaluable historical artifacts.
- Ateshgah - Fire Temple - The “Ateshgah” Fire-worshipper temple dates back to the second and third centuries. During this period, Zoroastrianism spread in Azerbaijan, leading to the construction of Zoroastrian temples in the region. The Ateshgah temple in Surakhani was active until the 7th century, when Islam was adopted in Azerbaijan.
- Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve - Yanardag is one of the most remarkable natural attractions on the Absheron Peninsula. It is a flaming mountainside that cannot be extinguished by rain or sand and has been burning for millennia. The awe-inspiring fiery landscape is easily explained: natural gas is released from the upper layers of soil and ignites upon contact with oxygen.

Excellent, intelligent, informative guide - What do I tell you about our guide! Reza
He is extremely intelligent and well read, and his grasp on english is impeccable. He spoke 4-5 languages. He told in depth stories on history, science and religion of gobustan/fire temple/yanar dag and in general of the world and how things were related. He made the trip more than 5/5. We were lucky to have him. Absolutely recommended!!

Baku Excursion - Excellent excursion. Really well organised, and the communication from the agent was first rate. The cost (including a decent lunch) is extremely good value for money.
We were able to see all the worthwhile attractions and historical sites in the greater Baku area. The stand out being Gobustan National Park.
Although certain sites felt a little rushed it was still enough time to appreciate and learn a bit about what you were seeing. And of course, when a trip fits in so much it’s to be expected and hopefully understood by the tourists.
A very special shout out to Rza who was our tour guide. So knowledgable, articulate and professional. And also very friendly with everyone. And an accent I still can’t believe wasn’t learnt in Oxford or Cambridge!! Top bloke. 👍

Fantastic and Professional - We had a fantastic tour with Rza. He was incredibly professional, and the schedule was spot on. He accommodated my friend's vegetarian lunch request and arranged a solo table for me. When a lady raised a complaint, Rza handled it calmly and even invited the whole group to see what she was talking about. We enjoyed the experience so much that we booked another trip with them. I'll definitely recommend them to my colleagues when we return to Dubai.

Great tour, particularly with Reza. - The tour was excellent. The highlight was our guide - Reza. Knowledgeable, great sense of humour and phenomenal at shepherding what was at times a very disjointed and tardy group.

Excellent tour and tour guide! - Our one-day tour of the sights near Baku was truly exceptional. We visited incredible locations like the Oil Well, Gobustan, Yanardag, and the Fire Temple, each offering a unique glimpse into Azerbaijan’s rich history and natural beauty. The highlight of the tour was our guide, Rza, who was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also passionate about sharing the deep historical and cultural significance of each site. He provided detailed explanations and interesting facts, bringing the experience to life for us. From ancient petroglyphs to the eternal flames of Yanardag, this tour was both educational and unforgettable, thanks to Rza's expertise.

Great all-day tour of sights outside of Baku! - This tour was very informative! Reza was my tour guide and he was so professional. He provided the group with a lot of information about the sights and provided an analysis of how the different religions were intertwined. I enjoyed seeing the sights outside of Baku, otherwise I would not venture out of the city. The tour came with lunch, which was very good too! Thanks, Reza!!

Good tour to visit the top sites around Baku - Our full-day tour in Baku was an unforgettable experience, packed with incredible sights and rich history. We started our journey at the oldest documented oil well in the world. It was interesting to know that the country was the largest producer of oil at one point in history.
Our next stop was the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, a stunning example of Islamic architecture that left us in awe with its intricate designs and serene atmosphere. Next, we ventured to the Gobustan National Park, where the ancient rock carvings and the fascinating Gobustan Mud Volcanoes provided a glimpse into the region's prehistoric past.
We stopped for a sumptuous meal at a local restaurant. Our table of 20 tourists, had both vegetarians and non vegetarians alike and I would like to say, everyone was well fed with flavourful salads, soups and mains.
Our next site was the Yanardag Fire Mountain, where the natural flames have been burning for centuries. It was mesmerizing to witness this natural phenomenon up close. Our final stop was the Ateshgah Fire Temple, a place of worship for Zoroastrians, Hindus, and Sikhs, which offered a unique insight into the diverse cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.
A special mention goes to our tour guide, Reza, whose extensive knowledge and engaging storytelling brought each site to life. His patience and friendly demeanor made the tour even more enjoyable, ensuring we had ample time to explore and ask questions. Reza's passion for his country's history and culture was evident throughout the day, making our tour both educational and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Baku!

Could be better. - We went for the main attractions tour on 20th September 2024. We had booked for English speaking guided tour. What we ended up with was a group of 20 and several of them were Russians. The guide Raisa would explain everything first in English or Russian and then switch resulting in loss of time for seeing things. This is really ridiculous, we have been on few tours and usually there is a group with one language. When I pointed this to the guide he said “ talk to the company”. The guide did not take us through all the important rock arts and skipped a few and I think this is from loss of time from explaining same thing twice in different language. When we pointed out this he said once you have seen them yourself why are you telling me about it? This is not how it works. He is the guide and should take us through everything and not expect us to see and find things on our own. This is not the type of service we expect when we book through Trip advisor.
