Shirvan Wines, also known as ‘Meisari’, represents one of Azerbaijan’s most recent wineries and the pioneer to be acknowledged by an EU certificate for manufacturing organic products. The initial planting covered 40 hectares in 2014, with the inaugural yield cropping up in 2017. The estate has now expanded to 310 hectares and boasts a museum, diner, and lodgings intended for vinous excursions. Located a brief journey away from Shamakhi, ‘Meisari’ offers tours that feature samplings of six organic wines derived from unique blends of French varietals. The selection is anticipated to grow once Caucasian grape varieties, recently planted, come to fruition.
