One for the book! Balabac! - Balabac for us is the best place to go in Palawan, due to its remoteness and prestine white sand beaches! Thanks team for the great time!

Just an amazing Adventure! - We‘ve booked a private tour and also vegan Food. We can totally recommand Lagum Adventures - the Days were fully planned with beautiful adventures and nice meals. They prepared special vegan food and were always there for any questions. Big thanks to our guide JHO and his Team! They drove the boat so well and led us to all the incredible places. One has to be aware that this is an adventure with basic facilities and huts but for us this was just part of the nature Adventure.

Absolutely stunning place - balabac! - absolutely stunning place to visit, but beware, never compare how the tour is organize here to its more popular destinations like coron and el nido, there are still plenty of room for improvement and lagum adventure and the local tourism industry of balabac are working hard to be there!

Wonderful experience - Our guide Ivin was a very experienced and great guide. He looked after us very lovingly and told us a lot about the islands we visited. Camp Malaya (base camp) was clean and very nice. We felt very comfortable there. The huts on the beach were a dream, from there we could enjoy the sunrises every morning. Unfortunately we can't say much positive about the tour agency (Lagum Adventure), communication was a bit difficult. We were picked up too late and were not informed. The driver then drove very fast, so we were scared.

Beautiful places but the company that organizes the tour is a total disappointment - Little organization, they don't explain anything at all, very very little food, we are very hungry EVERY day. Furthermore, some days did not comply with the schedule and we did not visit the islands that were theoretically included in the tour without any excuse, since the weather was perfect, such as, for example, on the third day, we were supposed to go to 4 islands and only We went to 2, but they do not refund the entrance fees that they are saving by not taking you to said islands, everything looks very dark. On the other hand, we noticed that our guide was wearing a t-shirt that said “Kamp Malaya”, not “Laguum Adventure”, so I understand that Laguum subcontracted to the other company, which seems very bad to me, since the price was more low and I did not want to contract with them because I had read bad opinions. Honestly, the places where they take you are very nice, but for example on the first day, they only took us 40 minutes to the first island and about 2 hours to the second, during which we were eating for 1 hour, and at 4:00 p.m. they had already taken us to the campsite, meaning that it practically did not give you time to really enjoy the places you want to see and the reason why you are hiring said tour, which is why I do not feel that my money was well invested, but rather that I feel cheated. Furthermore, one day before the start of the tour they asked us for full payment in advance by PayPal (even though we had already paid the deposit when making the reservation), charging us a 5% commission, we asked them if we could pay it in cash directly at the beginning of the tour and they told us no, so we had to pay more than 1,500 pesos in commission alone plus the difference in the exchange rate, which was not exactly good for paying by PayPal (that is, in the end we ended up paying €30-€40 more of what the tour was really worth), and when we were on the first day of the tour there were people who were making the cash payment there directly to the guide... you can't say one thing and then do another, since it looks ugly.

Hectic organization & Terrible meals - As much as i love filipino people, i have to be honest here. 1) Soon as you arrive: you will have to figure out everything out by yourself. Meaning this: you will have to find your groups because basically no one will introduce himself to you. I still do not know the name of the captain to this day. 2) During island hoping, they will drop you to the island without giving any details about it, they will say pick up in 1hour and calling you back in 30min. They is no explanation regarding the day. Maybe it will be 2 island hoping, maybe 3, but if you do not ask you will not know. 3) Base Camp, you will stay among other group which is fine but you will have to share water and toilet among 60 plus people. So be aware of that, and get you a good padlock. 4) The food that we had serve felt like the penitenciary. No juice ever, so you’ll need to buy it at the store. The white rice served seems to always come from yesterday. Sticky, dry and weird looking. Pork and meet in the morning. The portion were tiny so, first arrives is first served at the table. 5) The boat. Be ready for 2hours boat ride on a SMALL boat. No tanning session, no sleeping, you will have to stay sitting up with water splashing your face for 4 days. 6) General Vibes of the exercusion just feel like a huge lack of clarity and organization regarding the excursion. Nothing is explained, no one is introducing themselve as the manager/captain, so everyone is looking at each orther wondering « what’s is going on here ». Conclusion: Not a good experience. If you did Coron-El Nido tour: do not expect the same thing. Go to Onuk and Starfish Island by your own way (they are the only island worth travelling to Balabac for) or pick a more expansive travel tour.
