The Madu Ganga wetland, with its estuary and mangrove islets, forms a coastal wetland ecosystem. It hosts around 303 plant species and 248 vertebrate species. It is one of the last pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.
The boat navigates through dense mangrove forests and surrounding islets, showcasing various mangrove species, including about 10 endemic to Sri Lanka.
Along the way, you’ll see a variety of flora and fauna, such as monitor lizards and numerous beautiful birds. The Mangrove Forest is crucial for the ecosystem, providing nourishment and support.
